Lord Mayor Of Exeter Opens New Retirement Show Suite
Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Yolanda Henson, has officially opened the new show suite at Pym Court, the latest development from the leading manager and developer of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone.
To mark the occasion, she joined the sales team at Pym Court, to perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Retirement Living Plus Development on Exeter Road.
Councillor Yolanda Henson said: “I was thrilled to be invited to the opening of the show suite at Pym Court. It was wonderful to see how the outstanding development has taken shape and how it will help enhance the number of choices available for older people in Topsham and beyond.”
Verity McKay, divisional marketing manager at McCarthy Stone Southern, commented: “It was fantastic to mark this latest milestone at Pym Court. We are all extremely proud of the development and we were delighted to be able to unveil the impressive show suite with Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Yolanda Henson – the feedback so far has been really encouraging.”
The celebration gave Councillor Yolanda Henson the opportunity to take a guided tour of Pym Court, where they enjoyed a glass of fizz with prospective homeowners.
Local retirees were also able to tour the show apartments and view the social areas including the on-site bistro and communal lounge, offering them the opportunity to experience the lifestyle on offer at Pym Court, as well as find out more about how the development can help them get the most out of their retirement years.
Verity McKay continued: “We are seeing an increase in retirees deciding to take the plunge and downsize their home. The low maintenance living available at Pym Court really allows retirees to enjoy their independence as a part of a thriving community and spend their time doing the things they love. I hope our Show Suite Opening event has given local retirees a taste of how enjoyable life as Pym Court can be.”
When complete, Pym Court will comprise of a host of one- and two-bedroom apartments for the over-70s, with the first occupants expected in September 2022. Homeowners will have access to a welcoming communal lounge, which will be perfect for socialising with new neighbours, as well as landscaped gardens maintained by McCarthy Stone’s team, and a handy guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.
For those who may require a little additional help, Pym Court will also have an on-site estate manager and an experienced team will be on hand day and night to oversee the running of the development, and to provide tailored domestic support packages to suit individual needs. The development will also feature its own bistro-style restaurant serving delicious, freshly prepared meals every day, while secure entry systems and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind.
With over 85% of the apartments already reserved at Pym Court, McCarthy Stone is encouraging anyone interested to get in touch with the team to avoid disappointment. Prices currently start from £269,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £435,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. Rental and part buy-part rent options are also available.
