Ipswich residents are being invited to discover more about a prestigious new retirement living development in the town prior to the homes there going on sale.

Living opportunities at McCarthy Stone’s Thomas Wolsey Place development will be showcased at an Information Day being held at the River Church on Key Street in Ipswich on Thursday 27 October.

The event, which will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.00pm to 3.00pm, will enable visitors to discover more details about floor plans and view interior finishes and computer-generated images of the finished development.

The McCarthy Stone team will be on hand to answer questions and explain more about purchase options, ranging from outright purchase to rental and part buy-part rent, as well as SmoothMove, a complete turnkey package of support from the moment a reservation is made through to moving-in day.

No appointment is necessary to attend the Information Day, so visitors can drop in whenever convenient.

Currently under construction in Lower Brook Street in the heart of Ipswich, Thomas Wolsey Place will combine 25 one- and 25 two-bedroom luxury apartments with 11 townhouses, all designed to provide everything needed for an independent and fulfilling retirement.

David Meachem, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, commented: “Thomas Wolsey Place combines an ideal location with tasteful design and luxury facilities to provide the perfect environment for retirement living. Work is progressing rapidly, and we are receiving significant interest in all of the different types of homes – the Information Day is a great opportunity for anyone with a potential interest in living at Thomas Wolsey Place to come along and find out more for themselves as we prepare to release properties for sale off-plan.”

A large communal lounge and gardens will enable homeowners to make new friends, while security measures such as a 24-hour emergency call system will provide further peace of mind. A house manager will also be based on-site to oversee the development. The lounge, and security call system are only available to apartment owners, although the house manager is available to all.

Ipswich’s main shopping area is nearby, as is Ipswich Waterfront with its choice of eateries and cafés to suit every taste and budget. Buttermarket Shopping Centre lies within five minutes’ walk, with the main railway station also within easy reach with regular services to London.
