Launch Of New Apartments In Wapping

The Malins Group has launched a collection of studios and apartments at its latest high-specification conversion development...

The Malins Group has announced the launch of its latest development, named Green Bank Lofts, a boutique loft-style development in Wapping Lane in the heart of the Old Dockland district of Wapping.

The Malins Group specialises in the conversion of historic and unusual buildings, with past projects including The Apple Apartments in Baker Street, the former HQ for The Beatles' record company.

A collection of 18 apartments are being created in a former commercial building on a site first occupied by The Angel Tavern in the 18th century. The apartment interiors are designed with Crittall-style screens, ornate windows, bronze ironmongery and reclaimed style radiators. There is a range of studios, with clever use of design maximising space, and one-bedroom apartments, some of which come with separate kitchens, others featuring open-plan layouts. There are also large two-bedroom lateral apartments, with both bedrooms styled with dressing areas and en suite bathrooms, plus utility rooms, an unusual feature in an apartment. Engineer oak plank flooring, sage green and Hamilton oak kitchens with Smeg appliances and white ceramic sinks, and black framed windows enhance the industrial loft look.

Once part of Docklands, the winding cobbled streets feature fashionable restaurants and artisan shops, with a butchers' shop, greengrocers, the Wapping Tavern and near to Wilton's Music Hall and Tobacco Dock. The Thames Path nearby winds past riverside parks and the ancient Prospect of Whitby pub and onto St Katharine Docks. Transport links are close by at Wapping Overground, Shadwell DLR, Tower Hill Tube and bus routes to the West End, London Bridge and London City Airport.

Prices range from £450,000 to £1million. Find out more at www.malinsgroup.co.uk.
