L&Q Announces Shared Ownership Launches In Warwickshire

Affordable housing provider L&Q has announced the launch of more Shared Ownership homes at two developments in Warwickshire.

The company has partnered with renowned housebuilder Spitfire Bespoke Homes to provide some homes in the organisation’s second development in the growing property hotspot Tiddington, a village set in countryside less than three miles from Stratford-upon-Avon.

L&Q at Consilio is will launch on Saturday 13 February, offering contemporary two- and three-bedroom houses through Shared Ownership (sometimes referred to as ‘part buy-part rent’). These will be prioritised for first-time buyers who meet local eligibility criteria, meaning those who have a connection to the area and live locally.

These homes offer a fantastic opportunity for buyers to get onto the property ladder at an affordable price – from first time buyers to families seeking their first homes.

These new homes all offer high-quality interior specification throughout; Symphony kitchens are complete with integrated BEKO appliances, while bathrooms feature sleek sanitaryware and chrome fixtures. Underfoot, all homes are fitted with premium Karndean flooring, plush carpet and white satin woodwork. Master bedrooms are fitted with mirrored sliding wardrobes and gardens include turf and paved areas.

Local primary school Alveston Church of England is a few minutes’ drive from L&Q at Consilio, whilst secondary school options include Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Stratford Girls’ Grammar School and King Edward VI School, as well as co-educational Stratford upon Avon School.

The development is located nearby Tiddington village centre, with an attractive row of independent restaurants and a traditional English pub, The Crown, offering the quintessential village lifestyle.

Meanwhile, the cultural melting-pot of Stratford-upon-Avon is under three miles away. Famously known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, as well as museums and theatres, the picturesque town has regular farmers markets, a wide selection of high street shops and numerous restaurants and cafés.

Shared Ownership prices start from £82,500 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom house (full market value £330,000), and £96,250 for a 25% share of a three-bedroom house (full market value £385,000).

At Birnam Mews, L&Q recently launched a new collection, a mix of open market and Shared Ownership properties. All two to four-bedroom homes feature private gardens, accessed via stylish French doors, off an open-plan living room. They have German-designed Nobilia kitchens, fitted with integrated BEKO appliances. Bathrooms have Ideal Standard sanitaryware, complete with modern chrome fixtures and fittings, and a thermostatic shower and dual-fuel heated towel warmer. Underfoot, all homes are fitted with high quality Amtico flooring, luxurious carpets and sleek glazed porcelain tiling.

The development is built around traditional family-friendly street-scenes, interspersed with pockets of greenery, including mature hedgerow and planting, wildflowers and play areas. Surrounded by a rural countryside setting, the new homes pair green space with the distinctive architectural appearance of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Currently available at Birnam Mews, L&Q have launched a selection of exclusive incentives for buyers to take advantage of. This January, reserve any private sale house and L&Q will pay the legal fees, and for buyers reserving a Shared Ownership home at Birnam Mews, L&Q will create a bundle of incentives tailored to each individual buyer’s needs (subject to terms and conditions).

Shared Ownership prices start from £85,000 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom house (full market value £340,000) and £87,375 for a 25% share of a three-bedroom house (full market value £349,500). Private sale prices start from £335,000 for a two-bedroom house, and £390,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house.
