Limited Availability At In-Demand Greenwich Development

Posted 20 October 2022 by Keith Osborne

Knight Dragon saw great success at its latest launch at Greenwich Peninsula, but there are still some new homes for sale...

The latest residential launch at developer Knight Dragon’s major Greenwich Peninsula development saw 94% of the first release sell out – but there are still a few opportunities to snap up the remaining available properties there.

Demand from both domestic and international purchasers has been high since launch a few weeks’ ago, with buyers attracted to its riverside location, excellent connectivity to the likes of Canary Wharf and London Bridge, and the opportunity for potential long-term capital growth.

The launch of Peninsula Gardens follows what has been a busy couple of years on Greenwich Peninsula, with two neighbourhoods now complete, 5,000 residents calling it home and 300 creatives in residence at the Design District (which only opened its doors last year). The new chapter also comes as Knight Dragon’s revised masterplan for Greenwich Peninsula gets underway, following its full approval this summer. Enhancing the scale of the regeneration, it increases the number of homes across the Peninsula to 17,487 and introduces new opportunities for more cultural attractions, including a new theatre space, cementing the district’s position as a home arts, culture and entertainment in the capital.

Urosh Teodorovich, agent Savills associate director, commented: ‘The success of the recent launch of Peninsula Gardens in the UK has been replicated in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing markets achieving high sales rates for the first building in the scheme and has rapidly become one of the top-selling schemes of 2022. The success of the launch is testament to Knight Dragon’s strong reputation, Greenwich Peninsula’s long term capital growth prospects, and proven rental track record.

“Peninsula Garden’s transport connectivity, its appealing riverside location and proximity to Canary Wharf, means it ticks a lot of boxes for those looking to move to and invest in London – where the rental market is hugely undersupplied. The ongoing appeal of London as a global city – with its theatres, restaurants and world-class education options – should continue to be a magnet for wealth. All these factors are adding to an optimistic outlook for subsequent launches for Greenwich Peninsula in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur."

Prices starts from £397,500. Find out more at www.greenwichpeninsula.co.uk.
