Three Launches Announced In Kent

Posted 25 November 2021 by Keith Osborne

Redrow, Countryside and Hyde New Homes have announced launches in Hersden, Paddock Wood and Bapchild respectively...

House-hunters in Kent now have more brand new homes to consider with launches at three sites, one in Hersden, one in Paddock Wood and another in Bapchild.

Redrow – fresh from its success at the WhatHouse? Awards 2021 – has just unveiled the next phase of homes at The Hoplands, its 126-home community in Hersden, on the outskirts of Canterbury. This latest phase, called Alderwood, will comprise 20 new homes for private sale, with three or four bedrooms. An additional 19 homes will be available at affordable tenure.

As with the earlier phase of the development, the homes are taken from the housebuilder’s award-winning Heritage Collection, inspired by the Arts & Crafts architectural style, featuring traditional gable-ended roofs, porches and red- and yellow-brick exteriors. The kitchens in Redrow’s Heritage Collection have been designed as the hub of the home and are finished with high-quality appliances, fixtures and fittings.

Leon Shelton-Smith, area sales manager at Redrow South East, commented: “The Hoplands has proven hugely popular with families looking for a peaceful location surrounded by swathes of green open space, while close to good schools and the historic centre of Canterbury. We are delighted to launch our next phase of homes here, bringing a range of new homes to market and consolidating what’s quickly becoming a thriving community.”

Located five miles from the centre of Canterbury, residents at The Hoplands will benefit from the city’s excellent collection of pubs, bars and restaurants, extensive sports facilities, local schools and two universities. Trains from Canterbury West station connect passengers with London St Pancras International in under an hour. While nearby Sturry station will connect residents of The Hoplands to Canterbury in just four minutes.

Prices start from £389,995. Find out more at www.redrow.co.uk.

Meanwhile, the first collection of homes at Countryside’s newest development, The Burrows at Paddock Wood, have now been released for sale off-plan. They are anticipated to be ready to move into in spring 2022.

Situated in a well-connected, rural setting and spread over 22.5 acres, the development will deliver 300 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes for a range of buyers, including those looking for easy access to the capital and the peace of the surrounding countryside, which is peppered with orchards and is a beautiful area for walking and cycling.

Open green spaces, footpaths, recreation grounds and sympathetic landscaping have been thoughtfully incorporated into the development, bringing together rural living with a great neighbourhood feel.

Danny Wood, managing director, Southern Home Counties, Countryside, said: “With an increased demand for homes with excellent travel links set in a rural setting, The Burrows perfectly meets the needs of today’s buyers. We’re so excited to unveil these thoughtfully designed homes and welcome the very first residents to The Burrows next year. Residents at The Burrows will benefit from the peaceful rural surroundings on their doorstep, whilst remaining within easy access of a range of amenities and lifestyle pursuits.”

Boasting a high-quality specification, and attractive external features and interiors, homes at The Burrows benefit from the very latest design technology and building techniques. Further benefits include private outside space to each property as well as allocated private parking, with homes also benefitting from hyperoptic broadband, enabling working from home with ease.

The development is set amongst leafy lanes, leading to an abundance of pubs, restaurants and local amenities. For families, Kent is home to a number of highly regarded state, grammar and independent schools, locally and within a few miles of The Burrows. In the town of Paddock Wood there are two excellent mainstream schools, namely Paddock Wood Primary Academy, a community mixed school for 4- to 11-year-olds, as well as Mascalls Academy, a co-educational secondary school and sixth form. Neighbouring towns of Tonbridge and Royal Tunbridge Wells, also offer a broad selection of schools, all within easy access.

Ideal for commuting, trains from nearby Paddock Wood station offers regular services to London Charing Cross in under an hour, whilst services to nearby towns and the Kent coast are also available. Paddock Wood sits just off the A228, enabling easy access to the neighbouring towns of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Sevenoaks. The M20, M25 and M26 are all on the doorstep, while Gatwick Airport can be reached in under an hour and Heathrow Airport in just over an hour.
