Help to Buy Fuels Interest In Poulton-le-Fylde
Jones Homes has seen considerable interest in the new version of Help to Buy at its Moorfield Park site, off Garstang Road East, with over 30% of homeowners at the development purchasing their property under the original scheme.
Following the popularity of the first phase of 65 homes, Jones Homes has now released a selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses as part of the next phase.
Carol Barlow, sales director for Jones Homes Lancashire, said: “Moorfield Park has proven consistently popular with house-hunters since it first launched in 2018, and has helped to meet the growing demand for new homes in this part of Lancashire.
“The fact that over 30% of buyers at Moorfield Park have benefitted from Help to Buy to secure their new home shows just how important the scheme has been in assisting aspiring homeowners to move onto and up the property ladder. The range and quality of homes at Moorfield Park, the opportunity for purchasers to use Help to Buy, and the picturesque market town location have all contributed to the development’s success.
"Located around a mile east of the town centre, Moorfield Park is conveniently situated just over five miles from Blackpool town centre and within commutable distance of both Preston and Lancaster.”
The Help to Buy scheme has recently changed and is now available exclusively to first-time buyers, with regional price caps introduced. For the North West, this is £224,400.
Under the updated initiative, first-time buyers can purchase a new home with a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is provided as a government-backed equity loan which is interest free for five years.
The two-bedroom ‘Langley 2’ – priced at £189,995 – and the three-bedroom ‘Birch’ – priced at £209,995 – are just two of the semi-detached house types at Moorfield Park which can be secured using Help to Buy.
Prices for the remaining homes at Moorfield Park start from £189,995. Find out more at joneshomes.co.uk.
