Act Quickly To Save £15,000 At Westwood Park

Posted 8 December 2020 by Keith Osborne

Home-hunters looking to settle in Lenham can secure Jones Homes properties in time for the Stamp Duty holiday deadline...

Jones Homes has a few homes available at Westwood Park in Lenham that will be completed in time for the buyers to benefit from the Stamp Duty holiday deadline.

The housebuilder has welcomed its first residents here and just a handful more will be able to join them before the end of March.

Most of the homes available before the Stamp Duty holiday ends have already been reserved but three more four-bedroom houses will be completed this year and there will be one three-bedroom home available before the deadline too.

Buyers can save up to £15,000 by moving before the end of March 2021, following the Chancellor’s announcement of a Stamp Duty holiday on the first £500,000 of any home purchase.

Sara Stanhope, sales and marketing director for Jones Homes Southern, said: “The homes at Westwood Park which can be reserved now and completed before the end of March are attracting a lot of attention. There is still time for people to take advantage of this, even if they have a home to sell. These homes will also be eligible for Help to Buy before its rules change.

“We can help customers to sell their current home through our Agency Assist scheme, but they will need to act quickly to beat the deadline. With Agency Assist, we work with a local agent to sell their home, pay the agents’ fees up to £3,000 and hold the customer’s new home for up to eight weeks while they find their buyer.”

Jones Homes is currently building 70 new three-, four- and five-bedroom homes at Westwood Park. As part of the planning agreement, Jones Homes will make contributions of around £290,000 to support local infrastructure, including education and healthcare, open spaces, traffic improvements and libraries.

The development will feature a landscaped area to the north-west of the site, while hedges to the east and south will be preserved and there will be nest boxes for swifts to the north of the development, where the houses will look out onto the Kent Downs.

The detached, four-bedroom ‘Lenham’ is available to purchase at Westwood Park for £510,000. With the Stamp Duty holiday, buyers of The Lenham would pay just £500 in Stamp Duty.

There are also two ‘Bayswater’ homes available to purchase at Westwood Park in time for the Stamp Duty deadline, with prices from £580,000 and a Stamp Duty payment of £4,000. There are Christmas offers available to anyone who is able to move quickly. Buyers can also ask about Help to Buy.
