New EPC A-Rated Homes Launched In Glasgow
The first 78 homes on Glasgow’s Dundashill development, a collection of three- and four-bedroom townhouses on the former Diageo distillery site, have officially been launched for sale.
Named Maltings Wynd, the townhouses are the first phase to be delivered in a 600-home masterplan in the Port Dundas area of Glasgow, just north of the city centre.
The sustainable, low-carbon EPC A-rated homes have been designed by award-winning architects Stallan Brand and Ann Nisbet and will include air source heat pumps and solar panels as standard, as well as water-saving showers with heat recovery and full hyper-fast fibre to support home and hybrid working.
Construction started on site in January, with the first homes due to be ready for completion in spring 2024. Phase two is now being brought forward via a joint venture between developer igloo and Housing Growth Partnership.
BIGG Regeneration, a joint venture between Scottish Canals and PfP Capital, will deliver on future phases, building on the success of its nearby Maryhill Locks development.
Peter Connolly, CEO of igloo, said: “We are pleased to be able to launch Maltings Wynd at Dundashill, which blends green space and urban living; style with sustainability. It’s no longer enough to just build beautiful homes – buyers are looking for homes that not only suit their lifestyle and budgets, but have as little impact on the environment as possible and are also highly efficient to run, with energy and water-saving features throughout.
“Given their location, design and sustainability, we anticipate high demand for these homes in the same way that buyers responded so positively to Maryhill Locks previously.”
The first seven homes are now available for reservation ahead of expected completion in early spring 2024. Prices at Dundashill will start at £295,000. Find out more at dundashill.com.
