Home Reach Properties For Sale At Yorkshire Developments

House-hunters across Yorkshire and the Humber with ambitions for homeownership on a modest budget could qualify for Home Reach as a way to ‘part buy-part rent’ a brand new home at a number of developments across the region.

For buyers who meet the eligibility criteria, Home Reach is scheme offering a chance to purchase a share of a new build home (usually starting at 50%) and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder, with housing provider heylo as the landlord. Home Reach is offered on selected plots at developments across England and provides all the benefits of homeownership but requires a much smaller deposit (5% of the share price) and a smaller mortgage than when purchasing outright. Over time, owners can buy further shares as their budget allows, until they own 100%.

For buyers in North Yorkshire, Heather Croft in Pickering has ideal starter homes and is within an easy walk of the town centre and on the doorstep of wonderful North York Moors National Park. Families will appreciate 'Good' primary and secondary schools in the area. Here, the ‘Archford’ can be purchased from £124,500 for a 50% share (full market value from £249,000) has an open-plan kitchen/diner with patio doors opening out to the rear garden. The lounge is at the front. On the first floor, you will find the master bedroom with en suite, a further double bedroom, a single bedroom and the family bathroom.

‘Mylne’‘Mylne’ house type at Tara Fields

For family buyers, Tara Fields could provide the right home for you. The village of East Ayton is under less than four miles from Scarborough and its amenities and facilities include a primary school, parish church, village hall, playing field, supermarket, post office and places to eat and drink. Here, the ‘Mylne’ is a house type that offers lots of space and flexibility. This detached house has a lounge, a kitchen/diner, downstairs cloakroom, a main bedroom with en suite shower room, and a family bathroom for the other three bedrooms to share. The piece is from £142,475 for a 50% share (full market value from £284,950), requiring a minimum of 5% deposit from £7,124.

In Tockwith, midway between York and Harrogate, is Church Farm. The local area offers many walking and cycling routes in delightful countryside, while it’s only a few minutes’ drive to the A59 and A1(M) for numerous major towns and cities. Among the Home Reach options here is the ‘Ashby’, a semi-detached home with generous garden. It has a kitchen/dining room, living room and downstairs cloakroom while on the first floor are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, some off-landing storage and the family bathroom. A 50% share is from £149,975 (based on full market value from £299,950), with a minimum of 5% deposit from £7,499 required.

Torne Farm is in Doncaster and offers three-bedroom options, one being the ‘Moresby’. Two of the bedrooms are doubles, with en suite to bedroom one, and this property also has a kitchen/dining room with French doors to the garden, a separate living room and a downstairs WC. A 50% share is priced from £106,000 (full market value from £212,000). An alternative is the similar ‘Maidstone’, which is priced from £100,000 for a 50% share (full market value from £200,000).

‘Moresby’‘Moresby’ house type at Kings Lodge

The same variety of homes is available through Home Reach at Kings Lodge in Hatfield, a well-served town north-east of Doncaster and within a few minutes’ drive of the M18and M180, ideal for connecting to numerous other places. Here, the ‘Moresby’ is priced at £112,500 for a 50% share (full market price £225,000) and the ‘Maidstone’ is from £103,000 (50% share based on a full market value of £206,000).

Mortimer Park is in the market town of Driffield, a place with plenty of its own amenities, including some highly rated schools, but also within easy reach of the likes of Bridlington, Beverley and Hull. A 50% share of the ‘Kenley’ can be purchased from just £84,000 (full market value £168,000). This semi-detached house has a comfortable lounge, and a separate kitchen/dining area with French doors to the north-west facing garden. Also downstairs are a cloakroom and handy storage cupboard. Upstairs are the family bathroom, as well as two spacious double bedrooms.
