Autumn Launch For Brand New Rental Apartments In Canning Town
Posted 6 September 2023 by
Keith OsborneBuild to rent specialist Grainger plc has announced the launch of Nautilus Apartments, a brand new collection of homes to rent at Fortunes Dock in east London.
Featuring a mix of 146 one- and two-bedroom apartments, this is the second development due for completion within the wider Fortunes Dock scheme, following the success of neighbouring Argo Apartments.
Named to celebrate ‘Nautilus’, the vessel built by Thames Ironworks and Ship Building, operating from Canning Town between 1835 –and1912, interiors within the new development take inspiration from the vessel, with bronze accents and wood panelling. They also celebrate the area’s rich shipping history and the River Thames, with décor created to reflect wave and water, with flowing upholstery textures and wall features.
In addition to these furnished homes, Grainger has created shared spaces which serve as an extension to the home and encourage residents to meet, work alongside and get to know neighbours within the building, supporting the development of a new community. A recent survey conducted by Grainger plc revealed that only 15% of the nation consider their neighbour as a friend in 2023, and that 80% of Brits admit to experiencing feelings of loneliness at least once a month, highlighting an opportunity for landlords to provide renters with additional social spaces.
Nautilus Apartments features a range of purpose-built amenities including a resident’s lounge meeting booths and seating areas for both working and socialising. There is also a podium garden with extensive landscaping – all included within the rent. There’s also a resident’s gym, plus a dedicated on-site Residents Services team, who are on hand to help with resident queries and host regular events.
Located within new neighbourhood, Hallsville Quarter, the development is conveniently located less than a five-minute walk from Canning Town Tube station, providing easy access to Canary Wharf, the City and central London.
Helen Gordon, chief executive at Grainger said: “Nautilus Apartments is a great new addition to our wider Fortunes Dock scheme, following the successful launch of Argo Apartments in 2018. Hallsville Quarter is an excellent East London location, with a unique blend of high street and independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants on the doorstep.”
Nautilus Apartments’ apartments come complete with plentiful storage, modern integrated appliances, furniture, plus free fibre-optic Wi-Fi. Monthly rent prices start from £1,905. Find out more at fortunesdock.co.uk.
