£10,000 Key Worker Discount On New Bristol Homes

Galliard Homes and Acorn Property Group has seen keen interest in their £10,000 key worker discount as it launches the marketing suite at Brooks Dye Works in Bristol.

A £40million development which is bringing 79 contemporary homes centred around the factory’s iconic nineteenth-century chimney, the former dyeworks is being transformed into a new community, with the marketing suite giving prospective buyers the chance to learn more about the new homes available. Already over the last few weeks there have been seven confirmed sales to customers using the key worker discount.

The discount can be used by any buyer who qualifies on the government’s key worker list, and can be used for any property purchase at the site; it can also be used in conjunction with the government-backed Help to Buy scheme on some units for even greater savings. The recent Stamp Duty ‘holiday’ threshold means there will be no Stamp Duty to pay on any of the homes in the first phase.

Brooks Dye WorksThe regeneration offers two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, each with private outside space and parking/garage, and improved access to the neighbouring park. The 523-sq-ft marketing suite follows new COVID-19 safety procedures, with a fully fitted show kitchen and bathroom showcasing the high-specification every home will have. The marketing suite also provides space for buyers to talk with a dedicated sales agent about elements of the scheme, and is available to visit by appointment.

For buyers who reserve their property early, there is the opportunity to tailor aspects of their new home, including the kitchen units, choice of floor covering and tile colour. Designer built-in kitchens will be by Magnet and come with integrated appliances from leading luxury appliance manufacturer Smeg. The new homes use renewable timber-frame construction, and sustainable features include smart meters, a sustainable drainage system, double-glazed argon gas-filled windows to maximise each home’s insulation and secure cycle storage. The majority of homes on the first phase also feature PV panels and electric charging points.
