Show House Now Open In Fleckney

The first show home at Davidsons Homes’ Brook Fields development, situated off Arnesby Road in Fleckney, has opened to visitors for the first time.

Featuring five bedrooms and a spacious L-shaped layout, the opening of the ‘Newstead’ show house was the first chance for the Leicestershire-based housebuilder to showcase the design and specification of the homes coming to the village – despite having already sold several of the collection.

The 150-home development will eventually also include new areas of green open space for the whole community to enjoy, as well as 40 affordable homes, including five bungalows.

Stephanie King, sales director for Davidsons East, said: “This has already proven to be a popular site, with several sold before any of the homes have been fully built. It’s no surprise though, as Fleckney has such good links to vibrant Leicester, but with all the beauty of a village setting.

“Not only that, the development is bringing several benefits to the community through our S106 payments, as you would expect – including to the local school, the village hall and a new sports pitch. So we’re not just providing much-needed new homes, but also enhancing the surroundings of our development too – for not just our buyers, but all locals to enjoy.”

Davidsons Homes’ S106 agreement means that the housebuilder will be funding things like local education at three schools and colleges, the creation and improvements to Fleckney Village Hall project and a new sports pitch in the village, an upgrade towards Saddington Church Room, as well as funds towards local roads and services such as cycling, walking and horse-riding, allotments, burial spaces, other sports pitches. There’s also money to support bus passes and travel packs for residents in the area.
