New Homes Development Open In Meppershall

A brand new sales office and two show homes were unveiled at Woodlands Rest, off Shefford Road, on Saturday 29 January.

Construction has been progressing over the past few months on the development of 145 properties, which will feature a selection of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. The two show homes at Woodlands Rest will be the four-bedroom Winchester and Barnwell house types.

Simon Tyler, sales director for Davidsons Homes South Midlands, says: “Since the virtual launch of Woodlands Rest in May 2021, we have experienced high levels of interest from a variety of house-hunters, with 15 reservations being made so far.

“The launch of these impressive four-bedroom showhomes will be the first chance for prospective purchasers to look inside a completed house at Woodlands Rest and get a real feel for the luxurious properties being built at the site. With the sales office now open, house-hunters are able to visit the site in person and see first-hand the style and quality of the homes being built at Woodlands Rest.”

As part of the planning agreement for Woodlands Rest, Davidsons Homes will be contributing more than £1.8m to sustain and improve local services and infrastructure, as well as creating public open space and a play area within the development. More than £1.7mn of the funding will go towards education, including £614,218 for upper schools, £500,857 towards middle schools, £497,750 for lower schools and a further £149,325 towards early years learning.

Davidsons Homes will also provide £85,000 for play equipment and a further £7,920 towards waste collection.
