Helen ChristieDandara has unveiled its newest show home at its Millers View development in Elsenham, North West Essex.
The four-bedroom, detached Chartwell show home at Millers View features an open-plan kitchen-dining-family room opening out into the rear garden whilst a study and separate living room with a bay window overlook open green space and the woodland area on the development. Four spacious bedrooms upstairs are complemented by a family bathroom and ensuite for the main bedroom, with the home also benefitting from a single garage.
Kate Massey, interior designer at Abode, comments: “Inspired by the work of British poet and textile designer William Morris in our design of the show home, we chose updated William Morris wallpapers which we matched with earthy reds, browns and greens throughout. Utilising sustainable materials was a big focus when designing the home, so we incorporated fast growing bamboo and natural rattan in our lighting, armchairs and coffee tables. Instead of using faux, plastic plants we styled the home with dried flowers and used eym diffusers which offer 100% natural fragrance. Since it is often the bustling hub of the house our favourite room to design is the family dining room. We chose to contrast the chunky textured wallpaper with a sleek sofa and wall to wall sheer curtains to make a big impact when you enter.”

Down the road in Braintree, Dandara is set to launch its second phase of new homes at its Towerlands Park development on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 February.
Following the success of the first phase of the development, phase two will introduce new house types The Windsor and The Vyne, and will see the return of popular house types the four-bedroom Penhurst and five-bedroom Kingston.
To give visitors the chance to experience the large variety on offer at the development, Dandara has also opened two new view homes, the three-bedroom Charleston with an open-plan kitchen/dining area and three-bedroom Frogmore with an en-suite to the main bedroom and two tandem driveway parking spaces.
