WhatHouse? Award-winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson has unveiled two new show homes at its Westwood Park development in the bustling neighbourhood of Westwood Heath in Coventry, Warwickshire.

The four-bedroom ‘Romsey’ and the five-bedroom ‘Whixley’ have been thoughtfully designed by leading interior designer Edward Thomas Interiors with modern family living in mind, demonstrating how prospective homeowners could make the most of the space.

The four-bedroom Romsey is an enviable home for families, providing flexible living space to accommodate the evolving needs of homeowners. Its ample space perfectly accommodates entertaining and family life thanks to its kitchen-dining area spanning the entire rear of the property, providing direct access to the garden through French doors. The downstairs also features a separate generously sized, light and airy living room. Upstairs, the Romsey offers three well-proportioned double bedrooms, as well as a single bedroom – a perfect space to set up a nursery or home office. Whilst the main bedroom benefits from built-in wardrobes and its own en-suite, the remaining bedrooms have access to a family bathroom. The home also provides a garage as well as parking for two vehicles.

The five-bedroom Whixley is the perfect home for growing families. The Whixley also benefits from a generous open plan kitchen-dining-family area at the rear of the property, stretching across the full width of the house and featuring French double doors leading out onto the garden. On the ground floor there is also a spacious separate living room with an elegant bay window, a utility room, a downstairs WC, and a study, a great addition for those who work from home. On the first floor, the home benefits from four double bedrooms and a single bedroom. While the main bedroom has its own en-suite, the remaining four bedrooms share a family bathroom.

Leading interior designer Edward Thomas Interiors has dressed the new show homes at Westwood Park, giving potential home buyers the opportunity to envisage themselves living at the development.

Andy Richardson, managing director at Edward Thomas Interiors adds: “The aim of our design in the Romsey was to create a fresh, modern, and vibrant feel, whilst making the most of the ample space on offer. A playful, tropical colour palette features throughout the home, which is emphasised through botanical and floral patterns on wall treatments and soft furnishings in both the shared spaces and bedrooms. We’ve also demonstrated how spaces can be optimised - the ground floor is so bright and spacious that we’ve been able to set up a working from home station, whilst in the living room we’ve created a cosy nook in the bay window.”

“In the five-bedroom Whixley, our design is worldly and sophisticated. It was styled to appeal to families who enjoy travelling, exotic destinations, and collecting unusual interior pieces from across the globe. The base tones are atmospheric, including a palette of charcoal, anthracite grey, and sleek black that are brought to life with ochre and gold accents, creating a luxury aesthetic throughout. Wall treatments include panel-effect, animal-print and palm leaf wallpaper, echoing the trend of destination inspired décor.”

Vanessa MacNee, sales and marketing director for Midlands, comments: “Over the past few years, flexible living spaces which can be adapted to suit the needs of the purchaser have become high priorities for homeowners, and the properties on offer at Westwood Park are perfect for a range of modern buyers looking for just that.

“The four- and five-bedroom house types available at Westwood Park are ideally suited for purchasers looking to upsize, and Edward Thomas Interiors have perfectly demonstrated the potential that these spaces offer to growing families. I would encourage potential purchasers to visit Westwood Park and our new show homes to picture themselves becoming part of the development’s flourishing community.”

Residents at Westwood Park will be able to enjoy a great range of excellent restaurants, bars, and pubs in Coventry and Kenilworth, as well as plenty of open green space. Westwood Park is only a 14 minute drive from the vibrant city centre, or a half hour bus ride. For those with older children, the development is the perfect choice with the University of Warwick just over one mile away from the development. Thanks to Westwood Park’s well-connected location within commuting distance of Birmingham, the development is also ideally located for those working in the city. It provides easy access to the A45, M42 and M6, as well as rail links, with Tile Hill train station, just a 20 minute walk away, offering routes to London Euston in 90 minutes.

Prices at Westwood Park start from £360,000 for a three-bedroom home, £475,000 and £555,000 for four- and five-bedroom homes respectively. Smooth Move, Part Exchange, and Deposit Unlock are available on selected properties.
