Affordable Homes To Launch At Greenwich Development
Countrywide Land & New Homes announces the launch of the first phase of apartments at Abbey Place in Abbey Wood, Greenwich.
The development is set to comprise 245 one- and two-bedroom apartments across two buildings, with 173 Shared Ownership and 72 three-bedroom rental units. Full completion of the site is expected in early 2023.

The site is in the heart of the Greenwich regeneration scheme, which aims to build 20,000 houses in the area. Residents will have Abbey Wood railway station on their doorsteps, which is set to have direct access to London Paddington, Bond Street and Heathrow airport via the new Elizabeth Line.
Roy Hinds, director of Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes, says: “Abbey Place is a hugely significant development in the area and we are proud to deliver these new homes. We believe that it is so important, especially given the current market, to be delivering Affordable Housing options to those looking to get on to the property ladder. The location, transport links, and affordability of these homes will make them extremely popular. Abbey Wood, which is set to go through significant regeneration, is going to be an increasingly desirable place to live, and with the high interest and reservations since our launch a few weeks ago, we see this demand continuing.”
Prices for apartments at Abbey Place start at £258,000 with shares starting at 25%.
