Woking Site 50% Sold Prior To Show Home Opening

Posted 7 May 2021 by Keith Osborne

With considerable sales success already, Consero has now unveiled a show home to view at Britannia Wharf...

WhatHouse? Award-winning developer Consero has reported that over 50% of its new Woking development, Britannia Wharf, was sold before the marketing suite and show home even opened their doors.

The first phase, which comprised of 15 homes, was sold totally off-plan within just a few weeks, and phase two has recently been launched with a further 14 plots already sold. The development is set to complete build in September 2021.

all, Britannia Wharf comprises 52 canalside apartments within a single elegant building overlooking the historic Basingstoke Canal. Currently for sale are one- and two-bedroom apartments priced from £245,000 to £500,000.

Zo Khan, partner at Seymours, said Britannia Wharf’s popularity is due to several factors. “Consero is a renowned developer with a strong reputation for build quality, so any purchaser will have complete confidence in their product. The location of the development is also rather idyllic; adjacent to common land, overlooking the canal to the fore, so natural views from every aspect, purchasers are truly buying into the lifestyle here. It is also within walking distance to the town centre and mainline station and therefore very conveniently situated.”

Following new legislation being developed by the government, the developers are not going to be charging new home buyers any ground rent. Steven Glover, co-founder, and land and sales director, of Consero, said: “We are delighted to be ahead of the legislation by not charging our leaseholders any ground rent and every buyer will be offered an equal share of the freehold. These are further ways to help potential buyers feel secure and reduce their costs.”

Britannia Wharf“The individuality of each apartment is the hallmark of the Britannia Wharf collection. Our in-house design team carefully crafted the project so that there are a wide range of layouts, interior spaces and décor in different apartments on offer. The four penthouse apartments offer exceptional, extensive accommodation with far-reaching views over the countryside and canal.”

Britannia Wharf’s grounds provide immediate access to the nearby heathland and woods of Horsell Common and walking and cycling routes through open countryside and is within an easy stroll of the town centre. Woking has an excellent choice of cafés and bars, traditional pubs and contemporary restaurants, as well as The Lightbox arts and heritage venue, a well-equipped leisure centre, and an indoor swimming pool.

Woking railway station is an easy 20 minutes’ walk from Britannia Wharf, with direct trains to London Waterloo in just under half-an-hour.

The show home will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment on weekdays. Consero has put safety measures in place to make show homes COVID-19 secure and to comply and exceed all government guidelines. Find out more at consero.uk or [email protected].
