Surroundings Inspire Luxury Apartments Interiors In Teddington

OKA interior designer Ana Moisin has taken local inspiration for the luxury apartment development, Teddington Riverside...

British interiors brand OKA has been inspired by the gardens and River Thames adjacent to Teddington Riverside, a luxury development located in south-west London.

OKA interior designer Ana Moisin took inspiration from the four-and-a-half acres of private gardens that surround Teddington Riverside, as well as the views overlooking the ever-changing riverscape at Teddington Lock, describing the setting as “mesmerising”.

She said: “Using neutrals as a contemporary backdrop, we mixed different styles of furniture and layered upholstered pieces and soft furnishings in complementary tones to soften the look and create a homely, cosy interior. We took inspiration from the mesmerising riverside surroundings, with accent colours adding character and personality to each space. While each of the interiors is unique, they have all been created with a versatile design language in mind, to allow the future owners to easily accessorise and add their own personal stamp to their new home.”

The one- and two-bedroom apartments feature OKA’s signature approach of layering rich textures and patterns to create homes that are packed full of personality. The walls are hung with characterful art, ranging from botanical works to striking contemporary prints displaying a jewel-like palette of deep moss greens, scarlet and rich blues. From curved and tactile furniture to rugs and accessories, the interiors reflect OKA's mission to create homes that “prioritise beauty and comfort, epitomising effortless British style”.

With a mellow honey brick exterior by award-winning Hamiltons Architects, each apartment features a spacious living area leading out onto a balcony with views of the river. The specification is excellent, with a bespoke kitchen equipped with the latest Siemens built-in appliances, spacious marble bathrooms, and oak flooring.

Teddington RiversideEugenie Ropner, head of sales and marketing, said: “We are thrilled that OKA found the setting for Teddington Riverside so inspirational and have reflected this in their stunning interiors, creating a treasure chest of colour and detail in a calming and relaxing style. Many of our buyers have travelled extensively and will appreciate the global influences that OKA channels in its designs. We are seeing a wide range of buyers from young professionals and couples, some young families from London and internationally, who are attracted by the excellent schools in the area. We also have a number of residents who have downsized from large family homes in the local area.

“We have one of the best spots on the Thames, which is wonderful all year round. There are great walks along the river and Bushy and Richmond Parks are close by, along with Hampton Court Palace, and other historic homes with exquisite grounds. It is easy to see why The Sunday Times ranked Teddington in the top five Best Places to Live In 2022.”

Outside, the grounds are landscaped, with mature trees and shrubs alongside the Thames – a delightful leafy place for a stroll or for finding a quiet spot. With the emphasis on hassle-free, relaxing lifestyle, residents enjoy a boutique hotel ambience. With a 24-hour concierge and first-class security facilities, Teddington Riverside could be perfect for people wanting a full-time home or a lock-up-and-leave London base for those who travel or spend time abroad.

Next door is The Lensbury, a private members’ club with river frontage and exceptional sports and leisure facilities where elite teams such as the England rugby squad and the Lionesses England football squad train, with tennis courts, squash, gym and studios, pool and watersports centre in 25 acres. A short walk away is Teddington high street with its indie cafés, shops and restaurants, and arts centre with a programme of events from concerts to exhibitions.

Teddington is just 12 miles from the West End, with fast links to Heathrow, the M3, M4 and M25 and national rail connections into London. It is close to the Royal Parks at Richmond Park and Bushy Park, with thousands of acres of wild heathlands and woods.

In the OKA collection at Teddington Riverside, a two-bedroom apartment is from £980,000 and a one-bedroom apartment from £630,000. Find out more at [email protected] or www.teddingtonriverside.co.uk.
