Show Homes Open In Chelmsford

Keith OsborneCALA Homes has unveiled two four-bedroom show homes at its Beaulieu development, a blossoming new community in Essex, to the north-east of Chelmsford.
CALA’s 145 properties offer a choice of 72 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 73 three- and four-bedroom houses, ranging in size from 547 to 2,317 sq ft. Of these properties, over 25% will be provided as much-needed affordable units for rental and shared equity tenures to meet Essex’s local housing need.
The homes are being built upon land which was once part of a grand estate called New Hall. Lived in by several royals, the home was bought and re-named the Palace of Beaulieu, French for “beautiful place”, by Henry VIII, when he was 25.
Curated by interior-design experts, Killer 5 Interiors and Interiors by Abode, the new split-level show homes give prospective buyers an opportunity to discover the lifestyle on offer, which gives a nod to the grandeur of the site’s history.
The trend for three-storey living follows research from CALA which found homebuyer interest for split-level properties is on the rise, with online trends demonstrating a 41% spike in searches over the past decade. The demand has been driven by an increase in home-working, in addition to a growing number of step families and more multi-generational households living together.
The development’s split-level properties leave more room for outside space, are easier to heat, and you can have the added benefit of creating functional hubs within the home, whether creating a nursery, a home office, or a separate space for teenagers or guests.
CALA invited local Essex and London influencers, @littlehouseinlondon, @katiepenny, @housenumber10 and @sophiasellwood to Beaulieu for an initial sneak preview to find out more.
Glenn Copper, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes North Home Counties, said: “CALA has a strong track record in delivering aspirational and quality-spec homes across Essex, and the new homes at Beaulieu are no exception. We're delighted to be welcoming new residents to this vibrant new community, with the opening of the show homes giving the opportunity for house hunters to glimpse the lifestyle on offer at the development and view the quality design and finish that CALA Homes is renowned for.
“We’re also offering a range of support to help people move, for homebuyers at all stages – with tailored incentives such as Assisted Move and Part Exchange available to purchasers.”
CALA’s Beaulieu show homes are open daily to the public from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Prices start from £624,950. Find out more at www.cala.co.uk.
