Four Show Homes Unveiled In Bishopbriggs

Posted 30 October 2020 by Keith Osborne

CALA Homes has had four family homes fully dressed for house-hunters to view at Jocelin Gardens in Bishopbriggs...

CALA Homes (West) has opened the doors to a suite of four show homes at its latest East Dunbartonshire development, Jocelin Gardens.

Situated in the popular town of Bishopbriggs, the first phase was launched earlier this the year, and is now welcoming buyers to book an appointment to get a glimpse of the lifestyle on offer at the development.

Included in the eagerly anticipated show village is one new home which is making its west of Scotland debut.

The ‘Dunning’ is a contemporary, four-bedroom home spanning three levels making it the perfect home for flexible family living. In addition, the four-bedroom ‘Colonsay’ townhouse is also available to view, alongside the four-bedroom ‘Colville’ and the five-bedroom ‘Dewar’ detached family villas from the housebuilder’s Light and Space Collection.

With interiors by Eileen Kesson of Envision, the ‘Dunning’ has a large kitchen/dining/family room with island and breakfast area at the rear of the property, where she has created a colour palette mixed with charcoal, white and coral shades to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere whilst the bright coral is used to offset the monochrome look. A striking, textured wallpaper creates a feature wall with a curved corner sofa ideal for family relaxing as well as a six-person dining table in blackboard finish – perfect for entertaining. There are bi-fold doors that open up to the private patio and generous garden.

A cloakroom, utility room and bathroom complete the ground floor of the ‘Dunning’.

The first floor presents an upper airy, formal lounge, which comes as a nice surprise, with similar neutral tones and a splash of coral and tangerine shades to brighten up the room and add drama. Next door, the second bedroom has a pale wool upholstered king-size bed with coral accent pillow cushions and watercolour landscape artwork above the bed. An en suite and a modern family bathroom can also be found on this floor.

Jocelin GardensBedroom one, the largest of all four bedrooms, has a designated dressing room space and en suite on the top floor, with a plush leather headboard and bold, orange wallpaper. The room also enjoys full length windows and is furnished with a modern upholstered bed and cluster lighting over the bedsides. The ‘Scandi’ theme which can be found throughout the home, thanks to its partnership with BoConcept who has furnished much of the homes in line with Eileen’s vision, is also present but is paired back using vintage floral velvet.

There are two more bedrooms, one which could be the ideal space for a study or as displayed in the showhome a single bedroom, a shower room and additional storage.

Eileen said: “When we were at the planning stages of dressing these showhomes, we really wanted to demonstrate an exciting new approach to three storey living so we also had to take a fresh look at our showhome design. Our aim was to ensure both homes have a very contemporary feel and create a real home appeal to families and couples looking for space to grow.

“The ‘Colonsay’ and ‘Dunnin’g were designed for entertaining but it was important they were still cosy and very homely for when relaxation is in mind. Working with B Concept again to furnish these homes was a real treat, as the furniture I had in mind matches the feel of both homes perfectly. It also allows buyers to handpick certain pieces of furniture which they love and make their home their own.”

Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director for CALA Homes (West), said: “Our show village at Jocelin Gardens is ideal for those who are keen to make the move to Bishopbriggs but not quite sure what form their future home might take. With both townhouses and fully dressed ‘Colville’ and ‘Dewar’ show homes, there really is something to suit every buyer.

“A number of homes have already been snapped up and have seen some great interest since launching the showhomes so we would encourage anyone looking to find out more to contact the team soon to book an appointment.”

Prices at Jocelin Gardens start from £378,995 for the four-bedroom ‘Colonsay’ at Plot 20.

The showhomes and sales suite are open from 10.00am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 10.00am to 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
