Helen ChristieCala Homes’ latest development in the West of Scotland, Earls Rise in Stepps, is set to be unwrapped for homebuyers this weekend, as the award-winning housebuilder sets to release its first off-plan plots at the development.
Located just off the town’s Cumbernauld Road, the collection of 58 four- and five-bedroom detached homes sit within a peaceful area of the North Lanarkshire suburb, whilst still perfectly placed for great commuter links, ample amenities, schools and greenspace.
Two brand new home styles will be making their debut for the homebuilder, the four-bedroom Brodick and the five-bedroom Evan – both of which are two-and-a-half storey and will feature PV panels as added sustainability features which aligns with Cala’s wider sustainability strategy.
The spacious Brodick housetype will be part of the first release of homes launching on 3 September along with a range of popular five-bedroom styles including the Gordon, Melville and Moncrief. Homebuyers will be able to experience the Evan housetype for themselves when the very first show home launches early next year.

Internally, these contemporary homes offer spacious open plan living areas, stunning kitchens with designer integrated appliances, contemporary bathrooms with high specification sanitaryware and plenty of thoughtful fixtures and fittings throughout. All homes are designed for energy-efficient and low maintenance living along with a blend of bright and spacious high-specification finishings.
Set to launch to homebuyers off-plan from Cala’s nearby Beatrice Meadows development in Kirkintilloch, the homebuilder anticipates a lot of early interest in the homes due to the location, surrounding amenities and the anticipation of the brand new house types.
The off-plan launch will be followed by the opening of two showhomes in January 2023 which will include the new homestyle, the Evan and the popular Lewis, which sits within the homebuilder’s renowned Light and Space collection.
With a broad mix of house types available at the development, Earls Rise will appeal to the needs of many different buyers from young professionals to those looking for more space for their family or those looking to downsize.
Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director, at Cala Homes (West), says: “Earls Rise is a beautiful development, perfectly placed for well-balanced living, with lots of amenities, shops, schools and greenspace nearby and offering easy access to the transport network for wherever you need to be. Our duo of brand new house types – not only for the region but for the business – indicate the importance we have placed on this development and the thought and consideration put into the mix and offer of house types we are presenting here. Earls Rise has a lot to offer. We have already had a lot of interest in these new homes amongst those looking for flexible living in a community environment. Anyone interested in making the move to Earls Rise should get in touch and register for updates ahead of the launch.”
Stepps, often known as a ‘commuter’s paradise’, is close to major cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling as the development is just minutes from the M80. It also has great public transport connections. Earls Rise sits within walking distance to local primary and secondary schools, ideal for families with children.
The first phase of homes released will be launched off-plan at the nearby Beatrice Meadows development in Kirkintilloch from the 3 September 2022.
Prices for four-bedroom detached homes in the first release start from £414,995 and five-bedroom homes start at £569,995.
