Shared Ownership Open Day In Alrewas On Saturday
Posted 20 January 2022 by
Keith OsborneHousing association Bromford is hosting an open day event in Alrewas for Staffordshire house-hunters to learn more about Shared Ownership and its brand new homes.
The event takes place at the Green Acres development, located off Dark Lane, on Saturday 22 January from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Here, interested homebuyers can meet with members of the Bromford team to learn about the benefits of Shared Ownership, and enquire about the homes that are currently available.
To mitigate some of the costs brought on by the Christmas season, Bromford are offering a special incentive to help towards the cost of purchasing a new Shared Ownership home. Property seekers who reserve a home by Monday 31 January will be eligible to receive £500 towards the cost of solicitor’s fees, making it even easier to move into a Bromford home this New Year.
In Alrewas, Bromford has a range of two- and three-bedroom properties available across two developments – Green Acres and Woodlands, on Anson Road. At both developments, homes are available through Shared Ownership, from £88,000 with a 40% share value (terms and conditions apply). Shared Ownership gives those who do not currently own a property the chance to secure a new build home through paying a mortgage on the share they own and paying rent on the remaining share, meaning a smaller deposit is required.
Priority will be given to applicants who have a connection to Lichfield District Council. If the potential buyer has been a resident, employed within the area for a number of years, or have family who have lived in the area for at least three years, their name will go to the top of the list.

Catherine Jarrett, director of sales and marketing at Bromford, said: “We are very excited to host our open day event in Green Acres for property seekers to meet with our friendly sales team, who will be on hand to offer their Shared Ownership knowledge and give out helpful advice.
“Shared Ownership makes homeowning much more accessible than it used to be. Having the option to own a percentage of a home, while paying a reduced rent on the property for the portion you don’t own, has allowed local people to afford homes when they might not have been able to otherwise.
“At both of our Alrewas developments, our wonderful two- and three-bedroom Shared Ownership homes are proving very popular, so I’d encourage any interested purchasers to get in touch with our sales team without delay to book their appointment.”
Alrewas is located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. The village lifestyle on offer is perfect for walkers and nature lovers alike, boasting many opportunities to explore the natural environment. Situated where the Trent and Mersey Canal meets the River Trent, the location is surrounded by natural beauty.
