Berkeley is introducing house-hunters to Bakers Yard Residences, a new collection of six four-storey townhouses now for sale at Huntley Wharf, a new landmark scheme in central Reading.

This exclusive terrace – there will be no other houses like them on the whole development – is set on a prime south-facing riverside site on Kenavon Drive, overlooking the River Kennet. In each property, the ground floor features a cloakroom; a generous storage cupboard; plus a spacious open-plan kitchen/diner with a double-height ceiling rising up to a galleried living room on the first floor. This light-filled lounge area also benefits from doors opening onto the garden terrace. The first floor is completed by a utility cupboard and a pleasant study – perfect for home workers. The second floor includes a family bathroom; a double bedroom with doors opening onto a balcony plus a further double room with en suite bathroom. The top floor features the third double bedroom which enjoys an en suite shower room and exclusive access to two further balconies.

As well as meeting growing, lockdown-inspired demand for living accommodation which is spread across multiple floors, which a four-storey property can deliver, each also comes with extensive private outdoor space, including three balconies and a terrace garden with direct access to the landscaped communal podium garden. Every home has an undercroft electric vehicle charging space.

Bakers Yard ResidencesInside, all the homes at Bakers Yard Residences are finished to a high specification, featuring contemporary kitchens with lacquered finished Shaker-style doors, plus glazed crackle-effect tiled splashbacks, available in a choice of colour palettes. These are complemented by compact stone worktops and a range of integrated Bosch appliances. The bathrooms also feature a choice of glazed crackle-effect feature tiles, stylish chrome mixer taps with industrial knurling detail, plus matt black feature accents such as black-framed glass shower doors.

The spacious bedrooms are fully carpeted; master bedrooms feature soft grey Shaker-style wardrobe doors; and Karndean timber-effect flooring is included in the kitchen dining area and hallway.

These homes are just a 10-minute walk from Reading station and a host of on-site amenities are proposed, including a riverside restaurant, coffee shop, convenience store, day nursery, concierge, gym and co-working studio.

Prices at Bakers Yard Residences start from £675,000.
