Much-anticipated new homes from Barratt @ Torrance Park in Motherwell have launched with resounding success.

Eleven properties were reserved over the course of the opening weekend, with four further three- and four-bedroom homes available to reserve now. They are designed with first-time buyers and families in mind, with the semi-rural location of Holytown meaning homeowners can enjoy the freedom of the countryside without having to compromise on the amenities, restaurants and schools that come with cosmopolitan living. Located close to the M8, Barratt @ Torrance Park offers commuters an easy connection to Glasgow, Livingston and Edinburgh.

The homes styles offered include the four-bedroom ‘Morton’ style, with a garage, spacious lounge and open-plan kitchen/diner with French doors leading to a private garden that’s great for entertaining, while for those searching for the perfect starter home, the three-bedroom ‘Kellie’ has space for modern family living, including a garden, double bedroom and two single bedrooms, as well as ample storage space.

Estelle Sykes, sales director for Barratt Developments West Scotland, said: “We’re extremely pleased to bring the highly-anticipated homes at Torrance Park to the market, and are expecting the demand to continue beyond a successful launch.

“We’re not just creating high quality homes for Motherwell, but also helping build a new community at Torrance Park that will appeal to families, couples and first-time buyers alike. There really is something for everyone.”

The homes are part of a wider mixed-use Torrance Park development plan, with Barratt Developments West Scotland, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, and Taylor Wimpey West Scotland all creating new homes on site. The plans also include a small neighbourhood retail centre together with associated infrastructure, landscaping and open spaces. It represents a significant and continued investment in the local area by the housebuilders over the next eight to ten years.

As part of an agreement with North Lanarkshire Council, both developers will be making financial contributions of over £3.2million towards meeting local primary and secondary education requirements, as well as the upgrade and provision of new footpath links to the north and south of the development increasing access to Holytown, as well as green spaces to enjoy throughout the development.

Prices currently range from £186,995 to £214,995. Find out more about Barratt @ Torrance Park.
