Posted 14 August 2020 by Keith Osborne

There's a one-bedroom apartment available via the popular Home Reach initiative at Gilden Park in Harlow, Essex...

Barratt Homes, WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year 2019, has a one-bedroom apartment available through Home Reach at its Gilden Park development in Harlow, Essex.

Home Reach is a partnership between the housebuilder and private landlord heylo which provides a more affordable way for people to get on the housing ladder across the UK via ‘part buy-part rent’, a version of Shared Ownership. Here you can buy the 50% share price shown and pay a low monthly rent on the 50% you don’t buy.

Plot 282 of Gibberd Court is one the ground floor and has a bright, open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge, one bedroom and a bathroom. It comes with allocated parking and with Home Reach, a 50% share can be purchased £102,750 (full price £205,500).

Home Reach has already helped over 2,000 new buyers onto the property ladder since it launched in 2014.

Gilden ParkKarly Williams, sales director for Barratt Homes North Thames, said: “We are pleased to offer the Home Reach scheme in partnership with heylo at our popular Gilden Park development. It is important for us to assist in any way we can in terms of giving our customers more choice when helping people to move up the property ladder. This is the last apartment available at Gilden Park with Home Reach so I urge any interested customers to enquire today.”

Gilden Park, located in Old Harlow, is now selling from its second phase of homes. Residents will benefit from new schools, a sports pavilion and community facilities which will be built within the development. Open market homes start at £376,000 for the three-bedroom ‘Maidstone’ house type.

A Guide To Part Buy Part Rent
With Home Reach you buy a share of your chosen newly built home and pay a monthly rent on the part you don’t buy. Your budget will decide the size of the share you buy, rather than the size of your home. So, you might decide to buy a bigger share of a lower priced home or a smaller share of a more expensive home.
