Off-Plan Launch For Manhattan-Inspired London Apartments
Developer Avanton has launched THE BeCa for off-plan sales, the result of a joint venture with Housing Growth Partnership, comprising a range of apartments which have been inspired by one of New York’s most iconic districts.
THE BeCa is an 18-storey red-brick tower designed by award-winning Farrells, with inspiration from Manhattan’s iconic Tribeca neighbourhood. It will provide 170 private sale apartments and 93 affordable homes, a mixture of studios, one- and two-bedroom homes. The ground floor will have commercial space and a gym.
As the first opportunity to invest in this scheme, Avanton, in association with global agent Knight Frank, has released an initial collection off-plan, with prices starting from £440,000 for a one-bedroom home. Construction is well underway, with a marketing suite and show apartment to launch next Spring. The first residents are due to move in late 2024, with site completion scheduled for Q1 2025.
Interior design features include high-specification fitted kitchen and integrated appliances, striking red tiling to the bathrooms, and industrial-styled raw concrete and exposed brickwork. Exclusive resident amenities will include dedicated porter service, co-working space, and a games room. Every home will have a private balcony as well as access to three landscaped rooftop gardens offering panoramic views over the London skyline.

Situated between Elephant & Castle, London Bridge and Peckham, THE BeCa is within easy reach of South Bermondsey station nearby, just two stops (three minutes) from London Bridge. Borough is a 15-minute bike ride away.
THE BeCa and the wider 1,400-home Ruby Triangle masterplan, form a key part of the area’s ongoing £10billion regeneration, which aims to provide 20,000 new homes and 10,000 jobs, alongside retail, office and leisure space and public landscaping.
David Ronson, sales & marketing director of Avanton, said: “We are delighted to launch THE BeCa for off-plan sales with our initial collection of homes available at a competitive starting price, offering design-led homes and exclusive residents’ amenities in the heart of a burgeoning regeneration zone. Since releasing the first look exterior CGIs earlier this year, we have received steady interest from both investors and end-users keen to secure their chosen plot. With Knight Frank on board, we look forward to showcasing THE BeCa domestically and internationally.”
Sophie Davies, associate in the London City & East New Homes team at Knight Frank, said: “THE BeCa’s design, as conceived by award winning architects Farrells, is truly unique, taking its inspiration from The Sterling Mason in Tribeca NYC bringing loft style living to SE15! The team at Knight Frank are really excited to have THE BeCa finally go live on the market. It’s a great opportunity for young professionals, parents who are perhaps looking to buy for their children studying in London as well as domestic and overseas investors alike.”
