Launch Of Exclusive Rural Homes In Perthshire
A collection of bespoke homes has launched off-plan in the Perthshire Hills, offering buyers the opportunity to be part of one of the largest shared land ownership offerings of its kind in the country.
As part of the new development of homes, buyers at Athron Hill will have access to 150 acres of private wooded parkland, walkways and hillwalking trails, a community orchard, and paddocks for keeping animals.
Athron Hill, designed by Fraser/Livingston architects, is a collection of 11 contemporary family homes located north-west of Milnathort, with views across Loch Leven and the Cleish Hills. Formerly home to Ochil House Sanatorium, a Victorian Convalescence in the Perthshire Hills, the location was famed for its fresh air and high altitudes and served well-to-do classes between 1902 and 1987.
The first phase of homes has now launched to market off-plan, courtesy of selling agents, Savills, with interest already growing. Each has been designed using natural materials to blend into the landscape, with each individually planned to respect and enhance their location on the hill.
Dan Multon, director with Athron Hill Development Company, said: “At Athron Hill we are offering the good life. Having recently broken ground, launching off-plan is the next big step in the development of the site and we look forward to seeing it begin to come together.
“The setting is something to be seen – it creates the perfect balance for buyers of being in an idyllic location with these amazing views towards the loch and hills, but easily accessible from Dunfermline and Perth, and within an hour’s drive of Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews.
“In addition to the family homes, buyers will also be getting that incredible opportunity for shared ownership of the 150-acres of the surrounding woodland.”
Homes at Athron Hill have been designed with open-plan living and entertaining in mind, with a distinct split-level kitchen, dining and lounge area. Wraparound windows also feature in each home, which allow most of them to be south-facing. Homes will also feature a cinema room with 5.1 surround sound, a double garage, and Aluclad doors leading out to patio and garden areas. A separate home working studio for those studying and working from home will be located by the garage and cinema room. Prices range from £545,000 to £555,000 for the first release of four-bedroom family homes.
