New Show Homes To Visit On Fylde Peninsular

Posted 7 June 2022 by Keith Osborne

Two show houses at Mill Green have been designed with references to the area's heritage in the aerospace industry...

With a nod to the iconic Lytham Windmill and the area’s great aerospace history, a visit to new show homes at Mill Green in Warton could help propel buyers on the path to a new home.

There are two fully furnished properties at the village development, demonstrating the versatility of the high-specification homes and the luxurious lifestyle offered by Anwyl’s first development on the Fylde peninsular. They are the three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Bretton’ and a four-bedroom detached ‘Ascot’ home.

Sales manager Imogen Suffell says: “Show homes are a window into the potential of our homes, revealing their quality and beautiful specification, as well as the lifestyles people who purchase them can look forward to.

“By visiting the show homes customers can truly imagine what it would be like to live in one, and what would suit their – or their family’s – needs best. That’s why, for each show home, we imagine who might live in it and then decorate and style it accordingly. That way we really bring each property to life for buyers and hopefully inspire them for when they move in.”

The ‘Bretton’ reflects a first-time buyer’s home, ideally suiting a young professional couple, maybe with a young child or a baby on the way. It features an open-plan kitchen and dining area, with a separate lounge at the front of the property and a must-have downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, the main with en suite shower room, and one single, which is still a good size, plus the family bathroom.

“The design is modern and quirky using vibrant orange and yellow tones,” said Casey Moss, design studio manager for Roomservice Design. “Round edges are a key trend for 2022 and this is reflected in the lounge, where artwork, mirrors and the coffee table demonstrate this latest look, along with a wall mural using circles to create a dramatic feature. There’s also a desk in this room reflecting that not everyone can forego an entire room to accommodate working from home.”

The ‘Ascot’The ‘Ascot’ at Mill Green

Next door at Mill Green, the ‘Ascot’ is a well-proportioned family home and therefore more likely be a purchaser’s ‘forever home’ which offers real space to function for everyone in the household. The kitchen and dining room expands the width of the rear with double doors that lead out into the garden; while at the front of the property the beautiful living room boasts a feature bay window which allows in lots of light. Upstairs it has three double bedrooms – the main benefitting from an en suite shower room – and a single which can be used as a guest bedroom or perhaps a home office, along with a family bathroom.

Reflecting its elegance and acknowledging its home-forever status, the ‘Ascot’ has been furnished with classic and quality pieces, including a teal winged armchair taking pride of place in the living room’s bay window. Casey said: “It’s a timeless look that won’t need to be upgraded year by year and appeals to the sustainably-minded customer.”

With a new appreciation of the mood-boosting influences that nature can bring, there is more than a hint of the outdoors indoors, with shades of green throughout the ‘Ascot’ show home, including fresh fern wallpaper in the hallway; deep forest walls and bedding in the guest bedroom and a padded tub chair in the luxuriously decorated main bedroom. And there are key pieces inspired by nature, like the antler side table in the main bedroom and the fun antler artwork in the hallway; together with pots and planters filled with foliage in almost every room.

Again there’s inspiration from the local area in one of the children’s bedrooms with a fabulous propeller ‘flying’ out of the wall and technical drawings as artwork giving a nod to the BAe Systems’ facility at Warton; while in the other child’s bedroom there’s a coastal boho vibe with dreamy beach pictures and hanging rope tapestry.

Mill Green is lcated in a semi-rural setting with a blend of coast and country, all of the homes enjoy an enviable specification as standard, including a Symphony kitchen with a choice of worktops and cupboard units, a five-ring gas hob, cooker hood, double oven and integrated fridge-freezer; and downlights in the kitchen, bathroom and en-suite areas.

The development features a collection of 66 three- and four-bedroom homes, with current prices starting from £234,995. The ‘Bretton’ and ‘Ascot’ show homes are open Thursday to Monday, 10.00am to 5.30pm. Find out more about Mill Green from Anwyl Homes.
