Canalside Apartments Come To East London

Posted 16 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

A block of 75 high-specification one-, two- and three-bedroom homes has just been unveiled by developer Anthology...

Anthology has launched Stratford Mill, a new collection of 75 canalside apartments which will form part of the wider regeneration plans for Stratford to transform the area into a brand new London destination with world-class, culture, sport and education at its heart.

With new lifestyle trends emerging from lockdowns, where buyers are looking for homes that are closer to nature and enable flexible and convenient lifestyles, Stratford Mill is a prime example of a new development offering this opportunity in London Zone 2/3.

Stratford MillHomeowners will benefit from a host of amenities including landscaped gardens, cycle storage in the basement, video entry phone system as well as excellent connections into London from Pudding Mill Lane, which is located just a two-minute walk away. Help to Buy is also available, providing a good investment in an area which has benefited from a 48.81% increase in value over the past year.

Designed by award-winning architect Squires & Partner, the new community consists of two buildings positioned around communal landscaped gardens, comprising a selection of one-, two- and three- bedroom homes, all featuring balconies with views of the Olympic Park, canal or communal areas. Situated on the fourth floor, there is a podium roof terrace with views overlooking the Bow Back River. There will be an additional 60,000 sq ft of office spaces available through Workspace group which will be located on the ground floor of the apartment building, available to rent.

Chris Powell, development director at Anthology, explained: “Stratford Mill is an exciting new project sitting at the heart of the ambitious £5billion Stratford regeneration plans, which will see 10,000 new homes, sustainable green spaces and further community facilities being created. We are thrilled to be able to attract new residents to East London which will support the transformation of the area to make it into an inspiring and innovative place where people want to live and work in the years to come.

Stratford Mill“Despite restrictions and lockdowns, over the past few months, we’ve seen an increased demand for London homes offering convenient and flexible living near green spaces. We anticipate strong interest from first time buyers and young couples living and working in the capital, who are looking for a well-located new home which offers space and convenience where they can continue working from home and commute to work with ease post-lockdown.”

The apartments have been designed for flexible, open-plan living. Each home benefits from generous spaces with plenty of integrated storage throughout and a large private balcony with views. Tailored to each home, the kitchens feature contemporary cabinetry with fully integrated Siemens appliance and a composite stone worktop. Spacious master bedrooms feature fitted wardrobes while the bathrooms are modern with bath/shower combinations and sleek fixtures and fittings.

Beyond the development, homeowners will benefit from three stations within walking distance where connections into London take as little as 10 minutes. Stratford is a vibrant neighbourhood with plenty of local amenities, schools and leisure spots including the famous Westfield Shopping Centre – ideal for a social lifestyle on your doorstep.

Prices start from £599,950 with Help to Buy available. Find out more at anthology.london.
