Announcement Of New Rental Apartments Coming To Gravesend

A new development comprising 115 modern apartments is set to be delivered in Gravesend, Kent by Strawberry Star Group’s BTR arm, Star Living.

The units will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom properties and tenants will benefit from features including digital concierge and ancillary services such as laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping.

Santhosh Gowda, chairman at Strawberry Star, commented: “We’re thrilled to be delivering our second Build to Rent scheme in Gravesend, bringing forward the delivery of much-needed rental homes to the community of Gravesend. Our strategy to bring forward boutique developments will result in new homes coming to market much sooner than on larger regeneration schemes.”

Construction of Star Living Gravesend is set to start in Q1 2023 and takes place on the former site of the Gravesend Maternity hospital, which will see the refurbishment of the old maternity ward. The developer will maintain and incorporate the unique M-shape at the top of the building.

Star Living has highlighted Gravesend as the perfect area for the delivery of new rental homes. The town, served by High Speed rail services, is currently undergoing major redevelopment as the population continues to grow, and existing rental stock is struggling to keep up with the demand for new homes.
