First Show Home Opens At Kings Hill Retirement Community
Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of specialist housing in later life, has opened its first two-bedroom show home at The Landings, a new retirement community in Kings Hill, Kent.
The development comprises 75 luxury one- and two-bedroom apartments and a range of facilities. The homes, which start from £320,000, have been designed to deliver high-quality and comfort to all residents. Each comes with beautifully styled kitchen with integrated NEFF appliances, and a modern bathroom complete with chrome fixtures and fittings, including underfloor heating and a level access walk-in shower. All homes also have a walk-out balcony or patio that provides private outdoor space.
Found within the popular garden village of Kings Hill, the development offers a range of residents’ amenities, including a large communal lounge and café on the ground floor – the ideal place for the sociable. The community also has cosy pocket drawing rooms for quiet reflection, and for those wanting to soak in the sun, The Landings has a top-floor lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows looking over the neighbourhood. As Kings Hill is a former airfield, the main colour theme used throughout The Landings community consists of royal blues in an Art Deco style, to tie in with the former RAF base.
Phillip Hulme, sales director at Anchor, said: “The launch of the new show home at The Landings provides those in later life with an opportunity to see what a home by Anchor to offer. Each of the new apartments has a unique layout that both offers a sense of character and allows any potential buyer to choose the home that is most appropriate for their wants and needs.
“The facilities provided by the wider development are incredible, offering excellent sociability as well as spaces to take some time out. Not forgetting, the village of Kings Hill is beautiful and quaint whilst offering plenty of amenities to allow residents to get out and enjoy later life. It really is a best of both worlds.”
The garden village of Kings Hill boasts expansive views of the North Downs and has a range of amenities close by, including a pub, restaurants, and a rich variety of shops all within walking distance. The historical market town of West Malling is just five minutes away, and the county town of Maidstone is within 10 miles.
The first homes at The Landings will complete in autumn 2022. Find out more at www.the-landings.org.uk.
