Act Fast For Final Opportunities In Buckinghamshire

Posted 24 November 2020 by Keith Osborne

A number of housebuilders are offering a final chance to buy particular homes and beat the deadline for buyer incentives...

For house-hunters planning to buy in Buckinghamshire, now is the time to take a serious look at some ‘last chance’ offers at developments across the county.

With its mix of splendid, secluded countryside and major towns with excellent amenities and transport links, there’s a lot to appeal to a very wide range of people seeking an ideal new home.

L&Q has just two homes ready to move into on the current phase of its Saxon Reach development in Milton Keynes. Now subject to a reduced reservation fee of just £99, the four-bedroom houses are available with Help to Buy. Priced from £460,000, these houses are both available under the current format of Help to Buy, which has a price threshold of £600,000 and can be utilised by first-time buyers and those selling a current home. However, the revised scheme next year will have a regional limit of £437,600 for Milton Keynes and will only be available to people taking a first step on the property ladder.

Dartmouth'The Dartmouth' at Saxon Reach

Named ‘The Dartmouth’ house type features generous living space throughout, with a large reception room positioned on the first floor. Bedrooms are set on all three floors, with the potential to convert the ground floor bedroom into a home office or second reception, while the master bedroom on the top floor, accompanied by an en suite, creates a peaceful retreat from the rest of the house. Separate kitchens and living rooms offer additional space for the family to retreat to and enjoy their new gifts, and a spacious cooking area for the Christmas dinner.

Christine Osborne, sales and customer services director (Counties) at L&Q, commented: “With a community of residents having already moved into Saxon Reach, our last remaining homes are ready to move into now and could be the perfect Christmas gift to yourself. With Help to Buy, Assisted Move and Part Exchange available, we’re delighted to be offering an affordable route onto the property ladder in Milton Keynes.”

Case study

Recently moving from renting a one-bedroom home in Hemel Hempstead, Jade and partner Gemma have made friends, old and new as they embrace a slice of rural community living as the first residents to move into David Wilson Homes’ Orchard Green development at Kingsbrook in Aylesbury.

Jade, a corporate sales manager, said: “We’re so excited to be part of an inclusive community with a countryside feel. The house is huge compared to the property we were living in whilst saving. We can finally call our house, home.”

Buying off-plan, the couple made their decision quickly after viewing the show home. Jade added: “We saw the show home and instantly fell in love. We knew that was the home type for us, we loved the layout and now we’re settled in and everything is decorated, we’re pleased we made the right choice.

Gemma and Jade“The space and the layout of the development is brilliant, we’ve been looking towards getting a big dog, potentially a Husky or a grey Labrador, as the next step to settling into our new home. We can’t wait to explore the open countryside and Nature Reserve once they’re completed.”

“We joined the community Facebook page as soon as we moved in. It wasn’t long before we realized Gemma’s friend from Watford was living in the house opposite! We had no idea until we had already moved in.”

Karly Williams, sales director at David Wilson Homes North Thames, said: “The devoted and inclusive community that is starting to develop at Kingsbrook is just the icing on the cake, for such an incredible development. With a dedicated residents association and the inception of a new parish council expected very soon, Kingsbrook has proven itself as a successful, standalone community that’s only set to grow.”
