Lifestyle Factors Lead To 90% Sales At Ashford Scheme

A pandemic-prompted focus on lifestyle and wellbeing has boosted sales at Victoria Point, Elevate Property Group’s luxury development of 216 apartments at Ashford in Kent, which is now 90% sold.

The range of property – studio, one-, two- and three bedroom apartments – has proved popular with buyers across all age ranges, but it is the developer’s decision to upgrade the outside space in the south-facing communal grounds and landscaped courtyard and the proximity of the waterside walks along the River Stour and nearby Victoria Park that has had buyers flocking to Ashford despite or because of the Covid pandemic.

Comments from those who have already moved in include one resident who said that Victoria Point is “such a beautiful building to come home to with the residents’ lounge, underground parking and communal gardens, all of which are being maintained and kept clean by staff to a very high standard. A concierge to manage the building and receive postal parcels.”

She added the development has “exceptionally high-speed broadband which for me is a real bonus as I work from home. Very low gas and electricity bills due to the energy-efficient building which is very warm and snug in the winter months. Balconies that are pleasant and relaxing to sit on. Good-quality kitchens and bathrooms to enjoy”.

She also commented on the “very short walk to Ashford International station with the high-speed link to London and great connections to Kent, Europe and the rest of the country. I have used this service only a little due to lockdown, but it is really easy to travel by train from here and the London service runs late into the night”. An added bonus is “the beautiful Kent countryside and the numerous seaside and visitors’ locations”. Plus “easy access to good shopping facilities and some excellent local restaurants and bars. No sense of over-population, friendly local people, and a park on your doorstep”.

We have found living at Victoria Point great. The location is very practical as being next to Ashford international allows easy commute to London in under 40 minutes. Everything else you need is either a short walk/drive away, even a day’s getaway to the beach.”

Victoria PointMost of the 216 apartments come with balconies and parking and for those who will wish to commute to the office when lockdowns are finally a thing of the past, the close proximity of Ashford International station just 0.1 miles away, providing journey times as short as 36 minutes into London has also been a strong selling point.

For those taking a more hybrid approach to working from home and in the office, the spacious residents’ lounge and direct access to the courtyard and gardens has been equally popular.

Superfast broadband and a concierge service add to Victoria Point’s attraction and David Hofton believes the development has provided the right facilities at the right time for the “new normal”.
