Show Home Room By Room: Bellevue, Bude

WhatHouse? takes a room-by-room look at a brand new show home in the Cornish coastal town of Bude.

This summer, homebuilder Cavanna Homes officially opened its new development of family homes at Bellevue with the unveiling of two show homes; a three-bedroom detached ‘Steeperton’ and a four-bedroom detached ‘Belstone’ with a conservatory.

Both show homes have inspired interior décor by expert designers, Abode, and provide prospective homebuyers with a taste of the range of two-, three- and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached homes coming soon to Bellevue.

For buyers looking for a space to work from home or study, the ‘Belstone’ showcases the brand new garage extension which features a home office to create an ideal work/home life balance.

The home office garage extension includes integrated desks with cupboards and drawers, essential fixtures and fittings, windows for natural light, insulation, plus a side access door to create a sense of leaving your home to go to work.

Leading the design for both show homes was Richard Ornelas, from Abode: “With so much to do around Bude – the beach, rolling countryside, and the bustling town – we wanted the show homes to be a place of sanctuary and a place to relax, which is reflected in our classic interior décor.”

Kitchen/dining room

The open-plan kitchen/dining room has a comfortable seating area, plus a modern breakfast bar providing a great space for eating or drinking when entertaining guests.

“This is a great space in the home and ideal for entertaining guests. We didn’t need to compromise on seating for the dining table as the conservatory adds that nice space off the kitchen where you can enjoy a morning cup of tea in a little more comfort on the sofa.”

Living room

“In the living room, we worked around the focal point of the central media unit and placed the seating around this.

“Wherever possible throughout the home, we’ve used tactile upholsteries such as velvet sofas and fully upholstered dining chairs, so each piece of furniture makes you want to sit down and spend time in each room”.

Master bedroom

The spacious master bedroom has a luxury feel with classic and elegant décor, plus an en suite bathroom.

Guest bedroom

“The palette of warm greys with a touch of ochre, which is featured throughout the rest of the home, brings this welcome feeling of warmth, whilst still maintaining a modern feel.”
