Crown Partner With Elle Decoration And Unveil 6 New Paint Trends

Posted 28 February 2020

Leading interior design magazine, Elle Decoration, and historical paint brand, Crown Paints, have partnered to launch a new paint collection...

Elle Decoration by Crown unifies Crown Paints' British colour heritage with Elle Decoration's command of design for interiors. Inspired by innovation, it is a new interpretation of colour for the home. WhatHouse? Interiors Editor Rory Robertson says :

"If you are looking to inject personality and style into a new build property then what better way than with the advice of these two leading home focused brands?"

The collection presents a sophisticated palette of 60 multi-surface shades, characterised by six colour stories. Each colour story has its own form, with diverse inspirations, and is designed to challenge modern perceptions of colour.

'Botanical' presents a diverse palette of earthy tones, ranging from scorched earth to forest vista. 'Drift' is all about escapism and presents a spectrum of blues, starting at the ocean floor and rising to a light sea breeze.

'Powder' is a collection of natural shades including warm taupes and soft beiges, each comples and sophisticated. 'Crafted' is design to chanllenge the traditional perception of pinks. Taking inspiration from beautiful textures found in fabrics and textiles, the palette features a sumptuous burnt orange and light-as-mist pink.

'Obsidian' is an ode to earthy materials, this story is an elegant collection of monochrome shades, ranging from a gentle concrete to a cool gemstone. And finally, 'Feather'. This story celebrates the ethereal majesty of white; colours that are delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world.

The international collaboration will see the collection launched throughout Europe, firstly entering the UK and Ireland, followed by Garmany and Italy from February 2020.

Crown Paints and sustainability. Crown was the first UK manufacturer to launch cans made from 100% recycled plastic in 2018. Ten years earlier, in 2008, Crown established its earthbalance sustainability programme; setting out a commitment to be more sustainable, less wasteful and to help customers make responsible decisions about our world.
