About Lovell Homes

Experts in housing-led regeneration, Lovell has been building homes for over 40 years. It has worked with local authorities and housing associations to help rebuild communities. Lovell designs, builds and sells new homes, but also has a division dedicated to refurbishing and maintaining homes.

The housebuilder offers a wide range of houses, from contemporary apartments for first-time buyers, cosier homes for downsizers and larger, more spacious family homes. Homes can be personalised to the buyers’ specific tastes, and the range of properties include both sustainable and affordable homes.

Lovell offers the government-backed Help to Buy scheme on selected properties, and its Helping Hands scheme, where it will help the buyer sell their current home without charging any estate agent fees.

Over the last few years, it has been introducing more sustainable practices in order to create lasting economic, environmental and social benefits. Lovell recruits local apprentices and also offers vocational training opportunities.

The company took home Silver at the WhatHouse? Awards 2017 for Best Starter Home. Its Woolwich-based development, Trinity Walk was also shortlisted for Best First Time Buyer Apartment and Most Innovative Marketing Campaign in the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards.

In 1999, Lovell was acquired by the Morgan Sindall Group, a leading UK construction and regeneration organisation. The company has around 900 employees across seven regional teams.

Lovell Homes Whathouse? Awards

  • 2017 - BEST STARTER HOME SCHEME - Silver award
  • 2015 - BEST PARTNERSHIP SCHEME - Bronze award
  • 2013 - BEST REGENERATION SCHEME - Bronze award
  • 2014 - BEST STARTER HOME SCHEME - Silver award
Award Comments
The developer is keenly aware the first-time buyer category now includes parents in their 40s as well as young professionals; the patchwork of tenures will ensure a mixed community. The developer has also upped the ante for first-time buyer offerings: rooms are generous, ceilings are high and storage is ample. A city worker or young parent would be equally at home.
