New Home A Canvas For Interiors Enthusiast Shaunna
Attracted by the period charm of a home with all the comforts of a new build, Shaunna and Kevin Leitch sold their small flat last year and moved into their three-bedroom country home from developer ZeroC, part of Places for People, at its new town Tornagrain.
“We were so excited to find a home with high ceilings and charming features that not only requires no DIY, but also meets cosy modern-day building standards,” said Shaunna. “We have two young daughters and wanted space for the girls to grow so were impressed that the three-bed properties in Tornagrain were bigger than four-bedroom new homes in the middle of town. I love to cook and entertain, so the open-plan kitchen design and spacious rooms really appealed to me.”
Since moving to Tornagrain, the children’s sports coach has become something of a homes and interiors influencer. Her Instagram account @my_little_inside_stories is a showcase for her design ideas and has already attracted over 3,000 followers.

“I love photography and styling and started sharing pictures of our home and ideas for decoration when we moved to Tornagrain. It caught the attention of a well-known London interiors magazine and has appeared in a six-page lifestyle feature, which is amazing.”
When asked what she loves most about living in Tornagrain, Shaunna was quick with her praise: “I work locally, but my husband is a chartered accountant with an office in town. We have the best of both worlds as it’s only seven minutes to town and seven mins to the beach at Nairn. There’s lots of outdoor activities for us to enjoy with the girls as a family. The landowner is the Earl of Moray who, together with the developer, has shared a vision and 40-year plan for the village that gives me confidence Tornagrain will remain a place we will want to live for many years to come.”
The current phase in Tornagrain includes two-, three- and four-bedroom homes with prices starting at £187,000, with Shared Equity available on selected properties. All homes are in the modern country style with period features and wood-burning stoves in the larger properties. Find out more from ZeroC.
