Southern Housing is unveiling 54 new Shared Ownership homes located next to Richmond Park…

Leading housing association Optivo (now Southern Housing) is unveiling Greenside, a community of 54 new Shared Ownership homes on the edge of the iconic Richmond Park and Putney Heath.

Selected homes are available exclusively for those living or working in Wandsworth, providing a vital helping hand on to the property ladder for local young professionals and families.

The one-, two- and three-bedroom homes are light-filled with high quality finishes including engineered timber flooring, bespoke built in wardrobes and sleek kitchens with integrated appliances. All homes enjoy private outdoor space, set around the development’s beautiful flowering courtyard gardens that back onto Richmond Park Golf Course, ensuring tranquil surroundings that promote relaxation and wellbeing.

Greenside includes two, one-bedroom, ground floor wheelchair adaptable apartments with allocated blue badge bay parking, accessible bus routes on-street and a short drive away from local shops. The development also includes secure cycle storage, parking to selected homes included in the price and a 12-month car club membership for every resident, reducing the need for full car ownership.

Situated in the borough of Wandsworth, Roehampton has long been sought after as an attractive and peaceful place to live. Greenside is directly adjacent to the Richmond Park Golf Course, where the sprawling Richmond Park meets up with Putney Heath and Wimbledon Common ensuring an abundance of walking and leisure opportunities. There are good local amenities including cafés, boutique, shops and schools including Heathmere Primary School, which is almost directly opposite Greenside. The River Thames and popular locations including Putney, Barnes and Richmond are nearby, with Putney station offering connections to London Waterloo in just 20 minutes.

Jane Williams, head of new homes sales and marketing at Southern Housing, comments: “We’re continually investing in a future where a great home is within everyone’s reach, so we are pleased to bring this attractive and high quality, yet affordable, new development to the market, surrounded by green space and with a central garden at its core that can be enjoyed by the new community here. With Help to Buy ending, Shared Ownership is going to become an ever more important option for those getting onto the property ladder. We are also pleased to be offering half of the homes for local residents, ensuring that those with links to the borough can create permanent roots here.”

Prices start at £112,500 for a 30% share of a one-bedroom apartment with full market value of £375,000.
