Townhouse In Wakefield To Suit Buyers’ Needs

Posted 16 July 2021 by Keith Osborne

The three-storey 'Montpellier' at St John's Mews offers the space and flexibility essential to many of today's house-hunters...

These days, people expect more from their homes and having the advantage of flexible living space is now high on buyers’ wish lists, according to a recent Redrow survey about post-COVID living preferences.

The findings included 80% of people said they would find having somewhere for a dedicated working space useful, and 65% of those who responded in Yorkshire revealed having an area to exercise in or to create a home gym would be beneficial. That’s why Redrow’s three-storey properties at St John’s Mews in Wakefield provide the perfect solution, with the flexibility that allows homeowners to adapt and use each floor and living space as they choose.

Steve Jackson, sales director for Redrow Yorkshire, said: “Lots of people are continuing to work from home or shifting to a combination of home and office working. Having a specific area for work is hugely important so they can come away from it at the end of the working day. Another important factor is being able to exercise and stay healthy, and that can be where a home gym is useful too. Three-storey homes have the potential to make all of that possible.”

The housebuilder has a variety of townhouses available at St John’s Mews including the popular ‘Montpellier’, a four-bedroom semi-detached, priced from £314,950. It has a large kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, as well as a spacious lounge and cloakroom, providing room for growing families or ample space for entertaining. And that sense of space continues as you head upstairs.

On the first floor are two double bedrooms, the main with en suite, and a family bathroom, while up another level are two further bedrooms and a second bathroom. Depending on how many bedrooms are needed for sleeping, it’s these two floors especially that offer versatility for different uses. Any of the bedrooms could easily be converted into a home gym or an office, or those seeking a complete escape from the rest of the house could use the entire top floor as an office and gym suite, with its own bathroom. Redrow even offers built in office furniture through My Redrow, as part of its options and upgrades for customers to personalise their home.

For those who find themselves tempted, customers with an existing home to sell can make use of the housebuilder’s Help to Sell scheme that helps homeowners sell their current property by working with trusted estate agents to achieve a quick sale while also contributing towards fees.

St John’s Mews is less than a mile from Wakefield town centre with all the amenities that enjoys, as well as being less than a mile from Wakefield Westgate railway station, for frequent, fast services to Leeds (circa 15 minutes). You can also be in London in a little over an hour. Wakefield Kirkgate station is also close by and the development is located perfectly to access a number of major road networks including the M1 and the M62.

St John’s Mews also has smaller three-bedroom properties from £246,950. The sales team are on hand seven days a week from 10.00am to 5.30pm to answer any questions. Find out more from Redrow.
