Sisters Inspired By Each Other’s New Home Journey

Posted 21 February 2022 by Keith Osborne

Beth and Shannon have inspired each other's housebuying journey, and stayed loyal to new homes from Redrow...

The source of most sibling arguments is that one keeps copying the other – but this isn’t the case for two sisters from Tamworth.

When Beth Taylor visited her sister Shannon’s new home at Redrow Midland’s King’s Park in Worcester she was immediately filled with new-home envy. Being low maintenance as a new build, yet full of characterful charm, high ceilings and wider doorways, it the perfect property – and in true sibling style, Beth wanted the same for herself.

Beth said: “When I first went to visit Shannon’s home, The Kenilworth, I could see why she’d fallen in love. I couldn’t believe the quality of the home - I had huge sibling jealously and I immediately knew that I wanted one too!”

Beth began saving for a deposit and in 2017, she’d brought her first Redrow home, an apartment, at Pennine Grange in Tamworth: “I was so happy when I moved into my apartment, it was perfect for my first home.”

In true sibling fashion, not long after Beth moved in, competition set in. With a growing family, Shannon was keen to upgrade to a larger property, and purchased her second Redrow home, the four-bedroom ‘Marlow’, at Amington Garden Village on Mercian Way.

Shannon said: “Of course – I had to one up Beth! We loved living at Kings Park but needed a larger home with plenty of room for all the family.”

In February 2020 Beth moved onto the very same development at Amington Garden Village and was just a few minutes’ walk away from her sister.

Shannon added: “Thanks to the location of our plot, we were just round the corner from each other.”

Shannon and BethJust a few years later, Beth met her partner Sam, from Long Eaton and they soon started to think about living together. Living 30 minutes apart, the couple were keen to meet in the middle and find a home near to both of their families.

Beth said: “I knew my dream home was a Ludlow, and so I started looking at the Redrow developments in the East Midlands. Foxbridge Manor, in Castle Donington, felt like home the second we arrived, and the location was perfect.

“Although we don’t live just down the road from each other anymore, Shannon and I still see each other all the time. She’s even thinking about moving here and purchasing her third Redrow property – that would be six Redrow’s between us!”

Elaine Cartwright, sales director for Redrow Midlands added: “We are thrilled that Beth and Shannon have both chosen Redrow not once but five times between them. Amington Garden Village is proving a very popular development as it continues to pique the interest of buyers searching for a traditional home with a high-spec interior in a well-connected, popular region.

“We'd like to welcome anyone interested in luxury living in a property in a semi-rural area close to Tamworth to get in touch to learn more about what life could be like at Amington Garden Village”

Amington Fairway, Amington Green and now Eagle Gate at Amington are part of the popular Amington Garden Village development, which offers a choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties. These sought-after homes are part of Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection and located just three miles from Tamworth’s town centre. The development provides a rural setting with excellent commuter links, including easy reach of the A5, M42 and M6 Toll. Find out more at redrow.co.uk.
