Housebuilder Launches Two New Communities Across Rochester

Posted 17 June 2022 by Helen Christie

Housebuilder Redrow has launched two communities across Rochester that will collectively deliver 313 new homes…

The first scheme is called Oakleigh Fields and is set across 28-acres in Cliffe Woods, part of the Hoo Peninsula.

Once complete, the community will comprise 184 homes, ranging in size from three- to four-bedroom properties. The homes being built are from Redrow’s popular Heritage Collection, characterised by traditional 1930s exteriors yet modern and spacious interiors, designed around busy day-to-day life.

As part of the initial launch, several homes are available to buy, with more to follow later in the year. The launch of the scheme follows the planning consent granted by Medway Council in February this year.

Alongside the new homes, a third of the site will be formal and informal green open space, complementing Oakleigh Fields’ rural location, surrounded by orchards and farmland. In addition to the homes for private sale, the housebuilder is delivering 46 affordable homes.

Temple Woods (Redrow)

The second development is called Temple Woods, set across 10-acres, representing an extension of Temple Wharf, the housebuilder’s community along the River Medway, which has now sold out.

The scheme will see 130 new homes built, with six homes available to purchase as part of the initial launch, ranging in size from three- to four-bedrooms. Like Oakleigh Fields, the homes at Temple Woods are from Redrow’s Heritage Collection.

Given its location, residents will benefit from easy access to the River Medway, along with a landscaped public square delivered during the earlier phase, providing a seating area and steps down to a new public footpath.

Louis Roach, area sales manager at Redrow South East, comments: "We are thrilled to launch Oakleigh Fields to market. The Hoo Peninsula is such a distinctive and unique area of Kent which we expect will appeal to all types of homehunters looking for a fresh start.

“Meanwhile, we expect Temple Woods to follow the popularity of its sister development, Temple Wharf, providing residents with the unique opportunity to live right by the River Medway.”

Prices start from £439,995 at Oakleigh Fields, and prices at Temple Woods start from £424,995.
