First Apartments Launched At Chichester Development
Posted 10 February 2022 by
Keith OsborneHousebuilder Redrow, a winner of many prestigious WhatHouse? Awards in recent years, has now released for sale six apartments at New Fields, its first community of homes in Chichester.
The development launched in January 2020 and the apartments accompany the 137 houses being built on site.
Prospective buyers will be able to choose between three different types of apartment: the ‘Oaklands’, the ‘Priory’ and the ‘Florence’. Each offers a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living area, with integrated appliances and separate utility space. They also contain two double bedrooms, with a private en suite off the principal room and a separate bathroom. Most apartments on the ground floor benefit from double doors that open out onto landscaped communal grounds, of which all residents can enjoy.
Mark Vanson, sales director at Redrow Southern Counties, commented: “We are delighted to be bringing apartments to Chichester, an area which has seen a steep influx of buyers during the pandemic, with its buzzy city centre and proximity to the South Downs, Chichester Harbour and several pretty beaches. The two-bedroom properties are perfectly designed for young professionals or families looking to get a foot on the ladder, or couples looking to ‘rightsize’.”
Alongside the apartments are a range of three- and four-bedroom houses from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts architectural movement of the 1930s and benefitting from traditional exteriors such as gable ended roofs, porches and red brick exteriors, these homes are open-plan and contemporary, with high ceilings and integrated appliances throughout.
New Fields is less than a mile from the centre of Chichester, offering residents access to the city’s cultural assets, a range of ‘Good’ and ‘Excellent’ Ofsted-rated schools, as well as a host of trendy shops, bars and restaurants. For those hoping to commute or wishing to regularly travel further afield, residents will be able to take advantage of Chichester’s strong transport links to Portsmouth, Brighton and London, with direct trains taking 92 minutes to London Victoria.
Prices at New Fields start from £269,950 for a two-bedroom apartment, with Help to Buy available to first-time buyers. Find out more at www.redrow.co.uk.
