Kidbrooke Shared Ownership Event Taking Place This Weekend

Keith OsborneHaving just launched a collection of brand new, ready-to-move-in homes at its Kidbrooke Square development in Greenwich, NHG Homes is holding an event on Saturday 3 February that will give buyers a glimpse into life at the development through Shared Ownership.
There’s a new one-bedroom show home to view which showcases the apartments’ high-quality, modern fixtures, furnishings and design. One-bedroom homes at the development start from £92,500 for a 25% share (based on a full market value of £370,000), and buyers can purchase with a deposit of just 5% (£4,625) and a monthly cost estimate of £1,344, or a 10% deposit (£9,250) with a monthly cost estimate of £1,291 – including rent, mortgage and service charge. Two-bedroom homes are also available, starting from £111,250 for a 25% share (based on a full market value of (£445,000).
With Shared Ownership, buyers can purchase a percentage share of a property and pay subsidised rent on the remainder. Residents can staircase their share over time to 100% ownership, and the smaller mortgage required initially means buyers can get on the property ladder with a much lower deposit than buying outright.
NHG Homes is offering buyers up to £4,500 on selected apartments to help boost their deposit if they reserve on the day of the event and attendees will also benefit from free personal advice from a mortgage adviser.
Set around a new village square, and with a café and shop planned for future stages, Kidbrooke Square is a part of the wider flourishing Kidbrooke community. This emerging neighbourhood has no shortage of spots to grab a bite to eat or a drink, with a local gastropub for brunch, lunch or dinner, and Pegler Square often playing host to food trucks serving a variety of global cuisines.
For nature enthusiasts, green space is never far from reach. In just four minutes residents can walk to Cator Park, winner of the David Attenborough award for biodiversity, and a little further out Sutcliffe Park or Greenwich Park are perfect for a dog-walk or morning run.
Beyond the local neighbourhood, residents at Kidbrooke Square can enjoy speedy connections to the rest of London. Trains from Kidbrooke station provide access to London Bridge in just 16 minutes and Waterloo East in 19 minutes. Residents can also make use of bus services, cycle routes and the DLR to explore the rest of south-east London, including nearby Greenwich’s rich royal and maritime history.
Amie Triphook-Cole, head of marketing and digital at NHG Homes, said: “Now is a brilliant time to buy at Kidbrooke Square, as residents start to move in and the community continues to grow. These fantastic apartments have been designed with a sense of comfort, accessibility and sustainability in mind. We encourage anyone looking to get on the property ladder to join us on 3 February to explore our newest show home and bring their homeownership dream to life.”
