50% Sold At Norwich Waterside Apartment Scheme

Posted 1 April 2022 by Keith Osborne

Hill has seen half the apartments at its St James’ Quay development sold, but there's a still great choice on sale...

St James’ Quay, a development in Norwich from multi-award-winning developer Hill, has been a sales success since its launch in late 2020 and has now past the halfway mark – but there are still some top properties for sale there.

Located in the heart of the city and designed to reflect the deep-rooted heritage of the area, St James’ Quay is a collection of 88 apartments and penthouses with some offering panoramic views of the river, Norwich Cathedral and the historic city skyline.

The building has brick facades and fret-cut ironwork paying homage to the Georgian mills and townhouses of its industrial past and large windows to maximise natural light. Many of the apartments have balconies and expansive wraparound terraces that offer private outdoor space, with views across Norwich and the river. There’s a fob-controlled entrance lobby and lift access to all floors.

Bespoke kitchens feature high gloss doors and drawers, Caesarstone worktops, energy-efficient appliances and LED feature lighting to wall units. Opulent bathrooms are designed with dark wood detailing, and Hansgrohe taps and showers, with underfloor heating throughout every home.

Selected apartments are offered with the option to purchase an undercroft or surface parking space. Communal electric car-charging points are available to meet the demands of the modern homeowner.

There are shared riverside gardens and the chance to walk along the river to explore the Bishop Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in England, or Pulls Ferry, a 15th-century Watergate, or take a longer walk to Whitlingham Country Park and discover the beautiful 15.5-hectare local nature reserve.

St James’ Quay is a short walk to Norwich train station (a two-hour journey time to London Liverpool Street, and the likes of Cambridge and Manchester can be reached directly), the city’s medieval castle, key cultural attractions and famous Norwich Lanes, home to independent boutiques and eateries, as well as Jarrolds, a department store which is a much-loved institution. The popular coastline and Norfolk Broads are also only a 40-minute journey away, offering the perfect nearby destination for a weekend escape.

Prices for the current one- and two-bedroom apartments start at £193,950 with Help to Buy available to first-time buyers on selected plots. Find out more about St James’ Quay from Hill.
