Essex Development Now 95% Sold

Posted 20 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

David Wilson Homes has announced there are only three houses unsold at Blackwater Reach in Southminster...

As the property market continues to boom in Essex, David Wilson Homes is preparing for the end of an era at its Blackwater Reach development which is now over 95% sold.

The established community on David Fisher Way in Southminster has continued to flourish and the countdown to the end of the development has now begun. Blackwater Reach, which launched in June 2019, is home to 94 properties and has proven to be a hit with key workers, whilst the housebuilder still offers a deposit contribution of up to £15,000 for the NHS, Armed Forces and Blue Card holders. Just three homes remain for sale.

Annette Hurst, sales director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “Our Blackwater Reach development has proven to be a property hotspot since the very beginning and now we’re over 95% sold, we’d encourage anyone interested in the homes available to act fast.

“Southminster is a thriving location for property seekers due to the wealth of amenities on the doorstep and the excellent commuter links available.”

There is currently a selection of two-bedroom properties available to reserve at Blackwater Reach with prices starting from £409,995.

The housebuilder’s Home of the Week is Plot 64, an example of the ‘Bustfastleigh’ bungalow house type. Priced from £409,995 and ready to move into, it recently had a £9,000 price drop. It comes with a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances worth over £4,000, and flooring worth £4,800. As well as the saving of £10,500 thanks to the current Stamp Duty holiday, the lucky buyer also gets £5,000 towards a landscaped garden.

Families have found the community here to be an ideal place to lay down some roots, particularly with the convenience of having St Nicholas C of E Primary School close to home, which is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Whilst having all the essentials close to home, the welcoming town is a thriving commuter haven and Southminster station is just one mile from Blackwater Reach.

Providing comfort for new homebuyers, the development is under the supervision of site manager Rob Ruffy, who earned both Pride in the Job Quality and Seal of Excellence recognition in 2020, which are among the highest industry accolades achievable.
