A family from Knighton in Leicestershire have secured a new property at David Wilson Homes’ Wigston Meadows development to escape years of renovations in their previous home.
IT operations director, Manish Bhalla, 41, and his financial crime corporate auditor wife, Aarti, 35, recently moved to the community with their two children, Manas, 12, and Ayvaan, 7, from a 1930s semi-detached home.
Manish says: “We carried out multiple renovations on the property during our time living there. It was in a really good state in the end but we were ready for a new chapter in our lives and to embrace the simplicity of new build homes.”
The thought of not having to carry out renovations on a home to suit their lifestyle ticked all the boxes for the Bhalla family as they could take advantage of everything being ready for them come moving day.
The location was also a contributing factor in the family deciding to move just a stone’s throw away from their Knighton home.
“We chose Wigston Meadows as we wanted to stay close to the city for all the amenities, but equally we wanted to be a little further out”, says Manish, “Here at Wigston Meadows we have the best of both worlds with the city and the beautiful countryside on either side.”

Once spring arrives, the family plans to add plants to their generous new garden and to introduce a few wildlife friendly features to support the garden’s inhabitants.
