Two Launches In Scenic Buckinghamshire

Posted 1 April 2022 by Keith Osborne

Developers Dandara and Shanly Homes are unveiling some top new homes in the Chiltern Hills AONB...

The Chiltern Hills is a much-loved Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that attracts an estimated two million people a year to enjoy walking, cycling and horse riding, but it is well served but major roads and rail services, making it a perfect place to call home – and launch of two new developments in a scenic part of Buckinghamshire have just been announced.

Multiple WhatHouse? Award-winning developer Dandara has just opened its doors to homebuyers in Walter’s Ash at a development appropriately named The Chilterns. Located on Clappins Lane, it’s a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties with a show home also now available to view. There has already been considerable interest in the development of 63 homes, of which 33 are private, with 50% of the development sold off-plan. The development includes 30 affordable homes and 25% of the homes at the development are wheelchair accessible. Help to Buy and Assisted Move is available to buyers on selected plots.

Simon Pendlebury, sales and marketing director for Dandara, said: “With so much interest ahead of the launch and 50% of the homes already being sold, it is exciting to be officially launching The Chilterns. Walter’s Ash is a lovely village and is an ideal location for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside whilst still being close to great local amenities.”

Aside from its high-quality specification, each home also comes with off-road parking or garage with external plug sockets for electric car charging plus a private garden. Selected homes come with photovoltaic panels offering renewable energy for your home.

Simon Pendlebury comments: “It was vital for us as a housebuilder to provide features such as EVCP and solar panels, particularly in the current climate with energy bills through the roof. Our energy-efficient homes will help buyers save a sizeable chunk on their bills, which can be a big financial benefit to first-time buyers in particular.”

Nearby there are a host of local amenities including a Co-op supermarket, post office and pubs available to residents – all a short walk from the development. An appealing option for families, the area is also in the catchment for the Ofsted ‘Good’ rated Naphill and Walters Ash school, as well as the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Downley School.

Travel by road or rail is made simple at The Chilterns, with the A4010 a short drive away, and Saunderton train station just three miles away, providing connections to High Wycombe, London Marylebone, and Birmingham Moor Street.

Prices at The Chilterns currently start from £399,950 for a two-bedroom home. Find out more about current Dandara developments.

Little GreenLittle Green

Shanly Homes brings a selection of new homes to Aston Clinton in April, with Little Green comprising a collection of contemporary family homes set in a quiet rural location just moments from the centre of the historic village. The development will offer a selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses perfect for a range of purchasers.

Christie Alaimo, sales and marketing director at Shanly Homes, commented: “We’re thrilled to bring this collection of new homes to the market at Little Green. Many homebuyers crave the rural village lifestyle, but they don’t want to be too far away from amenities. Aston Clinton has the best of both worlds – a quiet, rural village setting, but still within reach of the larger town of Aylesbury, and easily commutable to London in less than 45 minutes. Those looking to reap the rewards of this fantastic location should register their interest in Little Green as soon as possible.”

All the houses at Little Green will benefit from Shanly Homes’ signature specification and build quality. Each home comes with a contemporary kitchen with integrated appliances including a dishwasher and fridge/freezer, all from well-known brands. Primary bedrooms will benefit from the luxury of an en suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes, whilst all further bedrooms provide flexible space to adapt into children’s bedrooms, a home office or a hobby room depending on each individual purchaser’s needs. Perfect for getting some fresh air or entertaining guests in the summer, every home comes complete with a turfed rear garden. For parking, each home will benefit from either a dedicated parking space, car port or private garage.

Aston Clinton village is just a 10-minute stroll along the road, home to a village shop, post office, pharmacy and popular country pub, The Bell. Further afield, the market town of Aylesbury is a nine-minute drive from Little Green and has two shopping centres filled with well-known high street brands. For the younger members of the family, Friars Shopping Centre is also home to FlipOut, the UK’s first ‘Super Centre’, offering a selection of indoor attractions including synthetic ice skating, crazy golf, laser quest and a soft play assault course. Also just a 10-minute drive away, the historic market town of Tring has a quaint high street and a plethora of independent boutiques and gift shops.

Parents at Little Green can rest assured that their little ones have access to a multitude of education options in the local area. In Aston Clinton, Barn Owls Nursery provides care for children aged three months to five years old, whilst the popular Aston Clinton Primary School is just 13 minutes’ walk from the development. For older children, Aylesbury Grammar School and Aylesbury High School are a short drive away, both rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

From nearby Tring and Wendover stations – both just a 10-minute drive from the development – services into London Euston take just 35 minutes, and London Marylebone just 45 minutes respectively. By road, the A41 can be joined at the end of Aylesbury Road, providing easy access to the M25 and wider motorway network. Find out more at www.shanlyhomes.com.
