Due to keen house-hunter interest, Cruden Homes has brought forward the release at the next phase at Meadowside...

A surge in interest in new homes outside of the city has led Cruden Homes to bring forward a new release of homes at its Meadowside development to keep up with demand.

The picturesque, historic coastal village of Aberlady in East Lothian offers the ideal location for the perfect work/life balance – set in a tranquil location yet just 18 miles from Edinburgh, and with easy access via the A1 or by train from nearby North Berwick or Longniddry stations.

new development has really captured the imagination of home buyers, attracted not only by the family homes available, but also by the lifestyle on offer with Aberlady’s wealth of outdoor activities, 40 miles of coastline, and cafés, bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

The new release sees three four-bedroom house styles for sale, all designed exclusively for their picturesque location:

The ‘Benson’ is a semi-detached house which features a spacious living room and a well-equipped, open-plan kitchen and dining area with direct access to the rear garden. Upstairs there is the spacious master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a well-proportioned family bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, with the master bedroom having an en suite shower.

In the detached ‘Durrell’, together with a comfortable living room, there is an open-plan kitchen/dining area ideal for family mealtimes or entertaining and which offers direct access to the garden. There is also ample storage downstairs and a separate practical utility room. Upstairs you will find four good-sized bedrooms, two of which feature en suite shower rooms, and a great family bathroom.

The CatesbyThe detached ‘Catesby’ offers a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining room with doors leading out to the rear garden, and a handy utility room off to the side that offers its own access to the garden and a downstairs WC. A spacious living room to the front of the property is perfect for entertaining and a study completes the ground floor. Located upstairs, a comfortable master bedroom offers a luxurious en suite with bath and shower, together with three further good-sized bedrooms and a spacious family bathroom.

Hazel Davies, sales and marketing director of Cruden Homes, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed with interest for our Meadowside development so we’ve accelerated the release of three house styles that are in high demand from buyers, combining generous and flexible living spaces and are perfect for family living, entertaining and home working. Meadowside is perfectly positioned to offer the very best of coastal village life, yet in easy reach of the capital so we expect these homes to be snapped up at this very special development.”

The first homes in the new phase will be ready to move in to from early Summer 2021, and Cruden Homes is offering buyers the option to take advantage of its popular Assisted Move and Guaranteed Buyer initiatives.

Prices start at £365,000 for the ‘Benson’, £439,000 for the ‘Durrell’ and £445,000 for the ‘Catesby’.

Prospective buyers can visit the four-bedroom detached ‘Catesby’ show home at Meadowside, which is open by appointment from Thursday to Monday, 11.00am to 5.00pm.
