Posted 18 August 2023 by Keith Osborne

Visitors to the free-to-attend event at Highbrook View can find out all they need to know about choosing a three-storey new home...

Crest Nicholson is hosting an open house event on Saturday 19 August at its Highbrook View development in Stoke Gifford.

The event will allow potential buyers to take a look around the ‘Windsor’ house type, to see the benefits that three-storey living provides. For those who would prefer to imagine their dream home from a blank canvas, Crest Nicholson will also launch a new view home to help families ensure it’s the perfect fit for them. The event will be open from 10.00am to 5.00pm and bookings are available online or drop-ins are available.

Three-storey homes offer homeowners a huge amount of choice when it comes to how they would like to use the layout of their home, allowing them to adapt the space based on their own requirements and add their own stamp on the property. It gives buyers plenty of flexibility compared to traditional homes as rooms can be configured into multiple uses, whether this be creating areas that bring friends and family together, or give individuals the independence and the space that modern day life requires.

Clare Brimble, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson South West, said: “We are very excited to invite buyers to our open house event this month. Recently our sales team have had an influx of purchasers making requests for three-storey living and we’re seeing a real trend for modern homebuyers looking for flexible spaces that suit their dynamic lifestyles. In particular, this interest has been from families; whether that be younger families looking to use the third floor as a retreat for parents, or those with teenagers who would like to use the space to offer more privacy or for studying.

“Our selection of three-storey homes across the South West offer exactly this, with a range of four- and five-bedroom homes for families of all sizes with different requirements, including ‘Hexham’, ‘Oxford’ and ‘Windsor’ house types.”

Having four or five bedrooms set over multiple floors means homeowners can benefit from versatile living. Taking inspiration from its purchasers, here are Crest Nicholson’s top tips for utilising the space in a three-storey home:

  1. Turn a room into a gym for those into fitness, a craft room for artsy individuals or even a music room – somewhere for your kids to play their drum kit and save your ears! Another option is to convert a room into a den or cinema room, giving kids and teens their own space, somewhere to relax and bond with friends and siblings.
  2. Many are choosing to turn one of the largest bedrooms of the house into a spacious home office, allowing for a degree of separation from work and home on another floor, with the added benefit of its own en suite.
  3. The top floor of the property could be used as its own haven for parents, utilising the fourth bedroom as a relaxing bedroom to get some much-needed peace and quiet and the fifth bedroom as a dressing room.
  4. With modern day pressures of exams, give your teenager space away from the living area and let them have some extra privacy to focus on their studies.
  5. Another benefit of the extra space third storey living can give you is the ability to have multi-generational household with many choosing to host their retired parents either permanently or as regular visitor; the third floor can make visiting parents and other guests feel like they’re in a home away from home.

For purchasers that would like to get a taste of three storey living, the ‘Windsor’ view home will be available to explore on Saturday 19 August. In addition, for those that prefer a more traditional layout, the five-bedroom ‘Buckingham’ home will also be available for potential buyers to view.

Prices for a four-bedroom home at Highbrook View start at £475,000 and at £675,000 for a five-bedroom house. Homebuyers can use a number of schemes to help them secure their dream home, including SmoothMove, Deposit Unlock, Deposit Booster, Part Exchange.

The sales suite is open Wednesday to Monday from 10.00am until 5.00pm. Find out more about Highbrook View from Crest Nicholson.
